Job Mission

As a Material Planner you are responsible for managing inbound supply, being first point of contact regarding logistics for suppliers and internal customers.You will be coordinating material deliveries from suppliers towards the factories and the field.
Main focus is to secure material availability to the factory and to the field, to resolve shortages and drive material escalations.
In addition you are the operational logistic interface between the supplier and the factories and the field.

You will work with suppliers and ASML stakeholders on finding structural solutions to material availability non conformities, train and re-train suppliers on new and updated processes, driving process improvements to meet our KPI’s and managing the feedback loop with ASML stakeholders

This position requires access to controlled technology, as defined in the Export Administration Regulations (15 C.F.R. § 730, et seq.). Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to access such controlled technology prior to beginning work. Business demands may require ASML to proceed with candidates who are immediately eligible to access controlled technology.

Job Description


  • Responsible for the operational inbound supply towards the different demand parties of ASML
  • The first point of contact for both the supplier and the internal demand parties
  • Responsible to resolve shortages and drive material escalations
  • Create continuous awareness and drive improvements, internally and externally, to make processes more efficient by eliminating waste (LEAN)
  • Implement, train and re-train suppliers on new and updated processes
  • Responsible for inventory management, maximizing reuse and minimizing related costs, while ensuring 100% material availability.
  • Provide input for correct settings of planning parameters at ASML and at suppliers to implement buffer flexibilities.

As a Material Planner you manage the short term material availability performance of your supplier. You make sure that your supplier delivers and executes according to existing agreements and if required, you participate or drive improvement projects to change the supplier logistic processes to ensure parts availability in the future.

Using your knowledge in logistic management, analytical thinking and professional communication skills, you will be responsible for the following:

  • Operational logistic supplier performance: ensure short term material availability by continuously monitoring and following up of agreements and performance indicators with supplier and solving possible issues/stagnations.
  • Analyses material availability and understand MRP logic and understands dependencies on other processes/departments within the supply chain. Is able to understand and clarify sources & impact of demand changes throughout the supply chain.
  • Participate in supplier improvement projects with LSM/QSM and drive operational improvement plans with supplier
    Proactive supply management of portfolio of parts (e.g. supply investigations, cockpit management, optimizing replenishment strategies, logistical engineering, …)
  • Coaching and train the supplier to use ASML designed systems (e.g. portals)
  • Coaching and train the supplier in processes, procedures, tools and techniques to increase supplier maturity level.
  • Drives projects at OSM and/or participates in complex projects at SNM level. Takes ownership for internal OSM processes by applying LEAN methodologies like 4C/A3 problem solving techniques
  • Translates trends at supplier into actions targeting weak spots
  • Updates key interfaces on a regular basis on status, progress and impact


Bachelors degree preferably in logistics/supply chain management, or equivalent experience required..


  • 2 – 5 years relevant and proven experience in logistics / supply chain management
  • Has good knowledge of/experience with Logistics processes, Supply chain and flows within scope of department, Planning systems (e.g. MRP).
  • Experience in planning, logistics processes and quality in a high-tech, low-volume environment
  • Experience in driving material planning
  • Experience with planning (ERP) systems, preferably SAP
  • Experience in complex work environment with multiple stakeholders
  • Experience with supply chain processes in production environment
