Job Mission

Support Wilton Factory Qualityto achieve world class customer quality through efficient management of customer issues and take preventative measures through cross-sectoral efforts.

This position requires access to controlled technology, as defined in the Export Administration Regulations (15 C.F.R. § 730, et seq.). Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to access such controlled technology prior to beginning work. Business demands may require ASML to proceed with candidates who are immediately eligible to access controlled technology.

Job Description

This is an outstanding opportunity in our Wilton, Connecticut facility to join our Quality Team.In this position you will manage the assigned critical path of handling customer issues on Wilton parts and assemblies.

The key duties involved in this position:

  • Manage Dead on Arrival (DoA) and iMQP process (Internal customer issues).
  • Analyzes complex problems, makes optimal use of knowledge inside and outside own technical domain, solves problems (e.g. trouble shooting).
  • Leading Production Engineering and R&D engineers to come up with structural root causes for the customer escalated issues.
  • Interact with Project managers and supply chain engineers to make sure there is good corrective and preventative (CAPA) actions taken for customer issues.
  • Mentor / train Production engineers and supply chain engineering on use of Quality tools such as 8D, 5whys, Fisch bone analysis.
  • Conduct Voice of Customer session on the floor with production engineers and technician.
  • Support monthly ‘Key Performance Indicator’ reporting about status of DOA’s and iMQP.
  • Knowledge of handling CQN (customer Quality Notification).
  • Act as a single point of contact for customer focus team during customer focus manager’s absence.
  • Develop accurate and effective reporting for executive review.

Education

Bachelor’s degree Electrical, Mechanical, Optical, industrial, Computer Science or Chemical engineering or equivalent experience.

Experience

  • Minimum 5-7 years of Quality or Engineering experience. High-tech manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Experience with different sectors is a plus : Manufacturing, supply chain and design engineering.
  • 6-sigma Black Belt or equivalent experience in quality engineers.
  • Good knowledge of International Quality Management Standards (e.g. ISO-9001-2008; QS 9000 etc, Sustainability, Environmental Health and Safety)
  • Broad knowledge of Quality tools (SPC, TQM, FMEA, 8-D, Gauge R&R etc.)
  • Broad manufacturing knowledge (World-class operations, Lean Manufacturing, Cleanroom standards and procedures, etc.) is a plus.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential.
  • Candidate needs to be able to operate effectively with all levels of management both internally and externally.
  • Strong analytical skills to identify risks, the key issues and to identify the root causes of these issues.
  • Knowledge of continuous improvement techniques is a big plus.
  • Microsoft Office skills Microsoft Excel, Word, Access and PowerPoint required.SAP knowledge a plus.
  • Excellent negotiation, problem solving, strategic and analytical skills.
  • Takes initiative when looking for direction motivate others and cooperate.
  • Act as a quality change agent across the organization.
  • Communicates effectively by explaining/ presenting technical matters to technical people within project, department and suppliers.
  • Excellent meeting skills, presentation and reporting skills.

  • WF quality exists to ensure that quality is an integral part of all ASML processes, to secure time to market and to guarantee the best value of ownership to our customers.
  • WF quality will ensure that the processes within the Manufacturing sector are aligned with corporate strategy and are continuously improved.

The holder of this position reports to the Customer Focus manager , Wilton Ops Quality Engineering
Interfaces internal with: Development Engineering, Supply Chain Engineering, Manufacturing & Program Management and Global Customer Focus Teams.

Role within Office
Responsibilities:

  • Routinely required to sit; walk; talk; hear; use hands to keyboard, finger, handle, and feel; stoop, kneel, crouch, twist, reach, and stretch. Occasionally required to move around the campus.
  • Occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.
  • May require travel dependent on business needs.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Role within the Factory
Responsibilities:

  • Must be willing to work in a clean room environment, wearing coveralls, hoods, booties, safety glasses and gloves for entire duration of shift.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee routinely is required to sit; walk; talk; hear; use hands to keyboard, finger, handle, and feel; stoop, kneel, crouch, twist, reach, and stretch.
  • The employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
  • Can work under deadlines.
  • The environment generally is moderate in temperature with moderate to high noise level.
  • Must be willing to work a compressed work week schedule – twelve-hour long shift and rotating from three to four days a week.
  • This must include references to day and night shifts for accommodation purposes.
