Does a high tech environment and complex supply chain energize you? Within our Strategic Sourcing & Procurement department we would like to welcome an enthusiastic Sourcing Lead Parts Cleaning. The Sourcing Lead is a challenging Procurement position reflecting the dynamics of ASML with a high complexity and lot of interactions with other sectors, category teams and suppliers. The Sourcing Lead Cleaning is part of the Machine Conditioning procurement team who is responsible for sourcing, managing supplier relationships and contracting. The team consists of procurement professionals with a can-do mentality and capable of building bridges with internal stakeholders and external suppliers. The Sourcing Lead reports to the Category Manager.

Job Mission

The Sourcing Lead is the go-to person for all cleaning related questions, ranging from how to set-up the supply base for specific niche competences, support to other category teams for cleaning related investments, discussion with D&E and the program on specifications and the potential impact towards the supply base. The Sourcing Lead Parts Cleaning will operate in the supply market of product related goods. He or she acts as a the interface towards the suppliers, balancing technical needs with commercial impact, and assures the setup and realization of strategic, tactical and operational goals. The cleaning supply base is mainly organized as 2nd tier suppliers (resulting at limited direct spend at those suppliers) and thus to be able to be successful it requires close interaction and understanding of the ASML supply chain and Sourcing & Supply Chain organization

Job Description

The Parts Cleaning Sourcing Lead:
- Drive and executes global category strategies to achieve assigned ASML Business Unit targets
- Builds and maintains long-term relationships with (inter)national suppliers
- Able to negotiate on senior management level with suppliers
- Uses subject matter expertise and market knowledge to shape the demand and support technical roadmap
- Manages overall procurement for product related goods and drives for continuous improvements
- Drives, executes and leads negotiations for strategic deals within assigned category or supports in deal making within other categories
- Involves selected suppliers in early stages of New Product Introduction of ASML
- Leads Supplier Account Teams (QLTC-S) and act in Category Team
- Interacts with internal stakeholders (D&E, SCM, program) in all levels within the organization
- Is willing to travel

Education

Higher vocational education/Master-degree in a relevant area (e.g. Business Economics, Business Administration, Technology Management) preferable combined with Procurement related courses (e.g. NEVI II and III)

Experience

- Min. 8 years of work experience in a professional, complex and international environment.
- Team player with proven ability to successfully balance commercial impact vs technical needs.
- Experience with relationship management

Context of the position

As a large-scale system integrator, ASML focuses on extensive outsourcing and integration of its supply chain. Approximately 90% of the manufacturing cost price is accounted for by purchased goods. Therefore, high level flexibility must be built into the supplier network. The Strategic Sourcing & Procurement Department creates, maintains and qualifies this global network and is responsible for all suppliers interaction. This enables the execution of the ASML Business Unit plans (Development, Production and Customer Support) and operates according to the principles of Value Sourcing.
