Job Mission

As a Supply Quality Engineer, you will takea pivotal role as a linking pin between the ASML D&E development team andthe related development team of the supplier, with a primary focus on partsquality. You maintains and develops at an operational level the relation tothe supplier with the purpose to create an optimal engineering collaborationbetween supplier and ASML while managing all the critical quality elements offull lifecycle of product from NPI stage to Volume. Using your personalskills, you will work closely together with the supplier & ASML internalstakeholders to optimize the effectiveness and efficiency of the productgeneration process, in alignment with the ASML project plan. The main goal ofthis cross-sector activity is to secure an excellent quality of partsdelivered by our suppliers.

Job Description

Within the project the Supply QualityEngineer (SQE) is the primary responsible to ensure parts quality from oursuppliers. Using your in-depth technical knowledge, analytic thinking,political antenna and excellent people skills, you work closely withsuppliers to build up an intimate knowledge of their IP and technologicalcapabilities.

The main responsibilities are:
- Early supplier involvement in the D&Eproject to secure that technology expertise of ASML and supplier are mergedin the best way.
- Ensure that not only parts quality, however,also manufacturability and serviceability aspects are covered in the designphase.
- Document the D&E project collaboration,including supplier & ASML responsibilities and roles via a Statement ofWork (SoW).
- New product introduction (NPI) and supplierselection.
- Deliverables that secure parts quality fromsuppliers in the ASML product generation process
- Responsible for the entire Quality andTechnical process performance for suppliers, including operational interfaceon deviations from specifications
- Monitor, review and drive supplier qualityperformance from incidents to structural improvement
- Contribute to supplier development (e.g.implementing SPC, lean, FMEA, operational excellence at suppliers)
- Optimize manufacturing processes atsuppliers by improving quality, testing and qualification infrastructure
- Drive yield and process improvements atsuppliers. Actively participate in improvement projects at suppliers (cycletime reduction, cost of goods reduction)
- Carry-out analyses of quality and logisticalissues to drive technical solutions needed during material availabilityescalations
- Support implementation of hardware changesat suppliers

BSc or MSc in Mechatronics Engineering.


Broad (at least 5-8 years) experience in high tech environment with a focus on supplier management or part quality or project management in Electro-mechanics engineering. Candidate must be trained and experienced with Quality systems and methods (preferably Six Sigma Green or Black belt), as well as Engineering towards production processes. Specialism in electro-mechanic assemblies.

The holder of this position reports to the Groupleader of the Supplier Network Management Asia. Interfaces with Suppliers, Project leadsDevelopment, Customer Support, Manufacturing, Engineers, Logistic and Procurement. Travelling to (global) suppliers may berequired.
