Job Mission

You are an excellent people manager in an Agile/SAFe world. You are keen on developing and coaching individuals to become valuable members of high-performing teams. You have ideally a good understanding in the different areas of Engineering to take the challenge to orchestrate the regional stakeholders and to take care about our Product & Technology IT colleagues. As a member of the IT P&T Management Team you will closely collaborate with the core supporting domains of all ASML Engineers. As your team members will have a dotted line to the Agile Teams in the Netherlands to be functionally steered from the content perspective, you will be much more focusing on their individual, personal developments. You have an intrinsic drive towards continuous improvement. As a manager you will also be responsible for budgeting, working with suppliers and areas of general interest to your team, especially to close the loop between the Netherlands backbone and the US P&T
Team. As this is a new role, you will also be the quarter master, building up the role with minimal supervision.

Job Description

As a Group Lead you will have the following responsibilities:
Identify staffing needs within the Teams in alignment with ART’s, in collaboration with the Leading Coalition.
Support of the recruiting process in the US to find together with the agile teams the right staff with the required competencies.
Work towards a stable staffing of the teams in the US.
Ensure, maintain and improve the domain knowledge within your teams.
Support internal employees with their Development Action Plan (DAP) and provide career coaching.
Manage local supplier relationships, contracting external employees, in consultation with internal parties.

Education

At least a Master’s degree in Computer Science, Informatics, or equivalent experience.
Certification in Scaled Agile Framework is a strong plus.

Experience

At least 5 years’ experience with building self-organizing Scrum teams.
At least 2 years’ experience in a scaled agile environment (SAFe, LeSS, etc).
Preferably a technical (engineering) background or a strong interest in technology.
Experience in managing vendors and external personnel.
Experience in managing distributed teams.
Experience in an equivalent environment (size, complexity, industry, domain) is a strong plus.

Context of the position

In the IT Product & Technology department we provide for the ASML Engineers (> 15.000) the required IT Services to support in best way the product development process. In the US Region colleagues from IT P&T are supporting on the East coast (Wilton) and on the West Coast (San Diego, San Jose, Santa Clara) ASML’s Mechanical-, Electrical-, Software- Engineers together with the headquarter support from the Netherlands. We have also a regional team in our IT P&T Product IT, where we supporting ASML customers with a managed operations for the Virtual Compute Platform (Product developed from our Business Applications) on behalf of the Customer Support organization. You will work with your team on enabling the heartbeat of some the most advanced technologies on the planet. Next to continuous enhancement of the existing environment we are innovating and implementing where beneficial new set of state-of-the-art off-the-shelf tools (e.g. source control management, software build and pipeline management, artifact storage, etc.).
