Are you the Inventory Analyst Expert/ Supply Chain Analyst that can drive cost reduction throughout the Customer Supply Chain network? You are responsible for identifying opportunities to reduce inventory and minimize excess and obsolescence cost in the supply chain and closely collaborate with worldwide supply chain stakeholders to contribute to the profitability of ASML.

Job Mission

You will create monthly inventory overviews for spare parts to enable an optimal inventory level plan together with key stakeholders in the customer value chain e.g. Supply, Delivery, Field, Finance. You will be challenged on how your plans will deliver ASML’s committed customer service against optimal cost.

Job Description

-Prepares monthly inventory overviews and forecasts outlook of inventory development
-Designs & creates tooling/reporting to support in the inventory management process
-Creates transparency on Excess and Obsolescence risk in spare parts inventory
-Defines inventory reduction opportunities for parts and aligns with our internal stakeholders to realize reductions
-Ensures inventory related budget targets are met by balancing norm inventories with buy opportunities of service parts.
-Analyzes customer supply chain processes to drive down supply chain costs, by leading and participating in improvement projects
-Participate/drive cross sector initiatives to reduce inventory inflow that result in excess and obsolescence


Relevant Master degree (e.g Industrial Engineering & Management Science, Business Administration, Supply chain or Engineering)


- Experience with working with large data sets and modeling techniques
- Has > 3 years’ experience in service supply chain planning (demand and/or supply)
- Strong in statistics and stochastic processes
- Familiar with ERP – preferably SAP
- Familiar with programming – preferably JAVA and VBA

- Proficient Excel and Access skills (needs to be able to change queries in Access)

Context of the position

The Customer Supply Chain Management (CSCM) team is responsible for meeting service level agreements (SLAs) with customers. System downtime costs customers up to a million USD per day so SLAs are extremely tight, with downtime waiting for parts and tools limited to as little as 20 minutes per system per week. CSCM manages such challenges in a global network with thousands of unique spare parts and delivers true customer satisfaction through differentiated and affordable logistics services. ASML’s aggressive time-to-market strategy and increasing system functionality means machines are often upgraded at the customer during their lifetime. CSCM’s highly educated workforce drives planning and execution of the logistics aspects of commercial upgrades, field change orders, machine shipments and transfers.
