We have an exciting role for academics with 5-8 years’ work experience and interest for high tech and complex supply chain operations. We are looking for a professional with proven record of project management in technical and dynamic environment as well as accustomed to demanding requirements of global supply chain operations. We offer a role in a multinational, energetic team with opportunity to grow into more senior, expert role focused around project management or development into managerial role within the organization.

The team enables events at customer factories: such as installs, upgrades and relocations of our systems. Business model of the company creates extremely demanding requirements for the supply chain processes, that are driven by the sensitivity of the transported materials, strict needs to minimize system downtime at customer sites and constantly changing specifications of machines. The goal is to establish a true “field factory” set-up, that allows the engineers to perform installations, (hardware) upgrades and relocations with maximum efficiency and minimum downtime.

Job Mission

Enable scheduled events (installations, upgrades and relocations) at our customer factories, by acting as demand owner, interfacing with our main stakeholders and driving improvements in our products and core processes.

Job Description

- Ownership of products from portfolio of upgrades, installs and relocations in terms of demand, operational costs and continuous improvements
- Responsibility for initiating, executing and implementing improvement projects within the Customer Supply Chain Management department:
- Subject matter expert for departmental projects
- Business Process Lead representing Upgrades, Installs and Relocations group
- Standardization of team processes and interfaces
- Structural improvements of processes within/cross-departmental
- Contribution to roadmap of operations improvements for field organizations
- Facilitation and development of KPI processes
- Initiation of BKM & cross learnings
- Deployment of (world-wide) projects in regional organizations including training/involvement of stakeholders (different levels and departments)
- Build-up effective work relation with stakeholders within and outside of own department (e.g. Customer Service, 3PL, Business Line and Marketing)


Relevant Master degree is a must (e.g. Industrial Engineering & Management Science, Business Administration, Supply chain or Engineering)


-5-8 years relevant experience in a large international company (industry or consultancy), ideally Supply Chain, Engineering or Operations
-Experience in operations management is a strong advantage
-Knowledge of project management, business complexity, supply chain in a relevant industry demonstrated during previous assignments
-Understanding of financials in complex, matrix organizations
-Experience in translating business priorities into KPI’s
-Experience in stakeholder management on various levels

Context of the position

The Customer Supply Chain Management (CSCM) team is responsible for meeting service level agreements (SLAs) with customers. System downtime costs customers up to a million USD per day so SLAs are extremely tight, with downtime waiting for parts and tools limited to as little as 20 minutes per system per week. CSCM manages such challenges in a global network with thousands of unique spare parts and delivers true customer satisfaction through differentiated and affordable supply chain services. ASML’s aggressive time-to-market strategy and increasing system functionality means machines are often upgraded at the customer during their lifetime. CSCM’s highly educated workforce drives planning and execution of the supply chain aspects of commercial upgrades, field change orders, machine shipments and transfers.
