Are you a Bachelor student in Industrial Design, Interaction Design or Software Engineering with a specialization in Design, User Experience or Interaction Design? Then this assignment could be interesting for you!
The goal of the User Experience competence within ASML is to have a consistent common language throughout our product library. The reality however is that each department is using its own style guide and UX specifications. With development at ASML receiving some significant changes through the rise of React and the transition towards integrated web-based solutions, the Analytics team has started the initiative of a new Design System for ASML Applications. We (as UX within metrology) see an opportunity here to join forces and work towards this common language.
During your assignment you are tasked with bridging the gap between style guides used in Metrology and the ASML Design System. You will be aligning with a wide variety of stakeholders from a design, UX and software perspective, thereby contributing to a common design understanding within ASML. You will:
- Investigate the delta between the design system used within Metrology and Analytics.
- Visualize the YieldStar metrology using common design components
- Propose a strategy for how the two departments can work towards a common design language.
Questions such as “what type of additions / updates to the ASML Design System are needed?” and “what would be a good transition strategy for Metrology to move towards this common design language?” will arise.
You are a Bachelor Student in Industrial Design, Interaction Design or Software Engineering with the following skills:
- Design experience with Adobe design or prototyping tooling like Axure;
- Understanding offront-end technologies (e.g. HTML, CSS, React, Ant);
- Experience with design systems is a pre
- Experience with Confluence is a pre
- Good written/spoken communication skills in English
This is a Bachelor apprentice or graduation internship for 4/5 days a week with a duration of a minimum 5 months. The start date is as soon as possible.
Please note that we can only consider students who are enrolled at a school for the entire duration of the internship.
