Introduction

Are you an experienced Scrum Master looking for a challenging environment in which your expertise can help make a difference?
In this role you would be making your mark on the BMC SAFe train (ART) for the CO2 laser of the next generation cutting edge chip manufacturing equipment which ASML is currently developing (lithography machines).
You will be working with Agile teams that provide the solutions that control, diagnose and support the Laser Beam which is used to create EUV (Extreme UltraViolet).
The BMC ART offers a challenging environment where multiple competences and functions come together in SAFe teams/trains.
In this Scrum Master role you will be part of the Controls team which is one of the wagons in our SAFe ART. Depending on your experience/later you might take a broader role.
The Controls team works on controlling the laser beam onto the Sn droplet of various EUV platforms. This includes defining the control architecture as well as testing the performance and integration. As such, affinity with mechatronics is important.

As a Scrum Master your mission is to coach and facilitate one or more teams in the BMC ART using the Agile and SAFe framework. You help build the environment and a highly engaged team that leads to efficient, effective and predictable development.
With the team you have a huge impact in further industrialization of the system and improving overall performance and availability.

Job Description

Working within the Source Laser Beam Control group you are:

  • A Servant Leader whose focus is on the needs of the team members and the people they provide value to (the customer) with the goal of achieving results in line with the organization’s values, principles, and business objectives.
  • A Facilitator by setting the stage and providing clear boundaries in which the team can collaborate.
  • A Coach coaching the individual with a focus on mindset, development and behavior, the team in continuous improvement and the organization in truly collaborating with the Scrum team.
  • A Manager responsible for managing impediments, eliminate waste, managing the process, managing the team's health, managing the boundaries of self-organization, and managing the culture.
  • A Mentor that transfers Agile (SAFe) knowledge and experience to the team.
  • A Teacher to ensure Scrum and other relevant Agile methods are understood and enacted.
  • An Impediment Remover getting resolved issues to the team's progress, taking into account the self-organizing capabilities of the Team.
  • A Change Agent to enable a culture in which Scrum Teams can flourish and reach a high performing state.
    You are sensitive to team dynamics and protect the team from outside interruptions and distractions.

Education

Minimally a Bachelor level in a technical field

Experience

  • 2-3 years in a similar role
  • Experience in industrial (mechatronics) environment
  • Certified Scrum Master
  • SAFe certification is a pre.
