As an ASML Design Engineer you will be a key player in a very fast-paced, multidisciplinary environment interfacing directly with our customers.
You will be involved in performance analysis and problem solving of complex high power (CO2) Laser - based optical System. In the project team you will be cooperating with other disciplines and suppliers. It is expected that you will participate in analyze system problems, identify practical solutions and plan issue resolution with peers. And last but not least, structural follow up to prevent the issue from happening in the future again. Therefore, you need to present your findings and your results to management.

Job Description

You will be a member of the Performance Integration Field and Factory team and will play a key role to bring the CO2 system performance to the required specification. Main Responsibilities:
-(Data) Analyze the CO2 system to validate if the system performs up to specification.
-Troubleshoot the CO2system to determine the root cause when system does not performing up to specification.
-Define tests to determine CO2 system performance or to obtain additional data to find root causes.
-Document tests and investigations according to ASML guidelines.
-Define CO2 system in-line (or off-line) diagnostics tests and integrate them on the system.
-Communicate findings to stakeholders of the team.
-Knowledge sharingwithin the team and with external stakeholders.
-Provide the right follow up and make sure the new learnings land in structural solutions.
-Test and Integrate solutions .
-Develop & improve on off-line tooling (MATLAB/python) for data analysis.


MSc or PhD Physics with focus on physics (plasma, control and optics)


Several years’ experience in a multi-disciplinary environment, preferably within ASML. Knowledge of the EUV source and HPDL drive laser is a preferred. HPSM, HPAC and Controls both technical and hands-on knowledge is preferable.
