Job Mission

The mission of Material Handling is to provide customer service to the factory and engineering teams with timely delivery of materials to support production as well as distribution of finished goods materials back to the warehouse. As a material handler you are the key interface between factory production and the 3PL warehouse in ensuring material cycle times are met and systematic jobs are complete in accordance with Materials Requirement Planning.

Job Description

  • Works both in cleanroom and non-cleanroom environment.
  • Receives and audits incoming materials.
  • Conduct daily cycle counts of inventory.
  • Processes jobs via computer system(s).
  • Processes materials to return to warehouse, supplier/vendor etc.
  • Packages, wraps, crates materials approved for shipping.
  • Expedites/communicates line down parts to the appropriate work centers.
  • Files documentation in accordance with department procedures.
  • Operates material handling equipment, i.e. fork lift, pallet jack
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Education

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED).

Experience

  • Minimum 2 of years of relevant, work related experience working in a warehouse or factory setting
  • Knowledge/hands-on experience with software/technical tools i.e. Microsoft office suite, Excel MS Word etc., proficiency in Oracle or other Inventory Management software applications
  • Soft skill requirements (i.e. strong English communication skills – both written and oral, ability to influence, etc.).
  • Experience operating Powered Industrial Equipment
