Job Mission

To improve the imaging performance of ASML scanners, Lens Models are applied. Lens Models calculate optimal positions of lens elements in the projection optics. The lens model under investigation is used in our EUV scanners and balances between optical performance, throughput and mechatronics performance.

Job Description

As an intern working within the EUV projection team, you will be responsible for investigating and proposing an additional optimization method in a lens model, taking into account the mechatronic effects.

The assignment is divided following stages:
• Familiarize with context and the lens model;
• Create better understanding of the parameters that currently cause the mechatronic performance loss;
• Investigate alternative optimization method(s);
• Implement and test the alternative method(s) based on simulation

Education

• You are a Master student in Mathematics, Physics or Optics
• You have good knowledge of MATLAB
• You are analytical oriented and autonomous
• The English language is required.

This is a Master apprentice or graduation internship for 5 days a week with duration of 6 to 9 months. The start date is as soon as possible.


Please note that we can only consider students who are enrolled at a school for the entire duration of the internship.
