Job Mission

Project lead customer configuration specialist will be recognized as an authority within the company in their area of responsibility – managing the development, implementation and communication of the Intel, TSMC, and Samsung configuration compliance management process within Cymer. This position will be responsible for executing the Copy Exact process from end to end, including dispositioning product changes, working across the organization to create collateral, and working with account and service teams to secure Intel approval. He/she will also own the Cymer process, working with stakeholders to revise the process as appropriate, and will be responsible for training others as needed.This position requires an individual who is willing to drive and hold accountable individuals at the senior manager and first line manager levels. He/she will have regular customer interaction and should be able to successfully communicate complex technical concepts in a clear and concise manner.

The project leader is also expected to lead some customer special request projects in the area of compliance and safety. In this aspect the position is responsible for managing people, functions in completing customer special projects. Provides professional expertise or services through leveraging the knowledge and skills of others as well as engineering project management for Product Development.Responsibilities include daily management of design teams, risk analysis, resource management, budget management, critical path analysis, definition of scope, work breakdown structure, schedule, project review, and execution of the Product Development Process with a cross functional team.

This position may require access to controlled technology, as defined in the Export Administration Regulations (15 C.F.R. § 730, et seq.). Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to access such controlled technology prior to beginning work. Business demands may require the Company to proceed with candidates who are immediately eligible to access controlled technology.

Job Description

  • Responsible party to ensure Cymer meets the customerexpectations as part of their configuration compliance.
  • Overall responsibility for the Cymer Copy Exact process. This includes working with stakeholders to amend the process from time to time as necessary.
  • Develops and manages ongoing CE training for all stakeholders (including supplier) to ensure compliance.
  • Responsible for the successful execution of the process from start to end.
  • Reviews proposed product changes, including the potential impact to laser performance or reliability.
  • Attends all Cymer Change Control Board meetings as a customer advocate and determines the proper level of change approval / notification required.
  • Coordinates resources across Operations, Engineering, Quality, Technical Support, Field Service and Supply Chain Management to develop collateral to support Intel CA or CN, including assembling necessary supporting data and technical justifications.
  • Communicates on a regular basis with the customer to present all change requests and notifications
  • Tracks all changes and notifications to ensure timely approval and implementation.
  • Reviews and approves changes to Intel specific BOMs as part of the standard CO release process.
  • Develops success metrics and manages program to defined and agreed upon goals.Monitors for escapes, and implements process changes as necessary to avoid future occurrences.
  • Creates, tracks, and ensures schedules, budgets, costs, performance targets (specifications), resource plans, manufacturability, reliability, and other general engineering planning activities.
  • Ensures that the PGP is communicated and followed within the program's engineering team.Provides feedback to the process development team on ways to improve the PGP.
  • Ensures good cross-functional communication (through effective meetings, email, and other means) to ensure coordination between development activities.
  • Manages the corrective action and change processes when appropriate.
  • Manages the system configuration.
  • Contributes to the creation of Customer Product Specifications.Supports customer technical communications and specification negotiations.
  • Creates presentations as required to support internal and external program reviews.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Education

  • Requires a Bachelor's Degree or higher in related technical field – i.e. Business Administration or Engineering.

Experience

  • Minimum of five (5) years of relevant, work related experience required.
  • Demonstrated success in project management, and leadership of cross-functional teams.
  • Specialist in advanced technical or business skills.Individuals with a customer focus have developed the acumen to cultivate and develop lasting customer relations.
  • Experience with Semiconductor Equipment or Components Manufacturing.
  • Sufficient technical knowledge and experience to be able to communicate effectively with the engineering teams, and to check/review their plans and progress.
  • Understanding of engineering control, control rules, and tools.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Communicates complex ideas, anticipates potential objections and persuades others, often at senior levels, to adopt a different point of view.
  • Ability to translate, statistically analyze data, and effectively report problems through written and/or graphical formats.
