Job Mission


The primary role is to optimize work process, systems, and human and material resources using qualitative and quantitative skills to minimize organization’s cost and maximize its profit. Along with Manufacturing Operations team, executes projects that represent improvements to internal and external organizations. Contributes with cross-functional team in the manufacturing organization and conducts projects across departments to improve the organization.

Job Description


  • Develops, evaluates, and improves organization/system/equipment/process optimization methods for the manufacturing operations team.
  • Lead improvements resulting in a gemba and visual workplace daily management environment
  • Apply the principles of `waste reduction'; muda, muri, and mura
  • Drive measurable improvements in quality, material control, throughput, flexibility, and cost
  • Develop and lead continuous improvement project plans along with engineers, and shop floor supervisors to instill Lean disciplines.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for operations in an ISO compliant environment (GMP, TPS or equivalent).
  • Develop, participate, and lead training sessions in Lean, kaizen, and problem-solving methods
  • Identify, scope, resource, and execute large-scale cross-functional projects aimed at reduction of waste
  • Work with department managers and team members to define the implementation strategies for continuous improvement across the Manufacturing organization
  • Support policy deployment activities to define strategic objectives and metrics for the organization
  • Develop appropriate tools and methods to sustain improvements across the Mfg. organization
  • Promote analytical problem solving through the application of statistical control methodology
  • Incorporate the use of Lean tools and methods in team activities and business problem solving
  • Develop data collection and retrieval tools for Mfg. use
  • Analyze production/service schedules, engineering/technical specifications, process flows, and other information to improve methods and activities in manufacturing and services.
  • Develops and leads various time and efficiency projects including engineer/technician utilization, MES, Work Measurement (Labor Standardization), Synchronize Preventative Maintenance (SPM), Mean Time To Repair (MTTR) Optimization, Process Automation, and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and develops improved processes and based on findings.
  • Optimizes Manufacturing and Logistics material flow, process flow, and layouts using LEAN/Six Sigma principles.Facilitates Kaizen events .
  • Utilizes a data-driven approach to provide headcount modeling and optimized staffing/working schedules for engineers/technicians with budget and cost

Education


  • A Bachelor's in Industrial Engineering or equivalent discipline is required.

Experience


  • A minimum of five (5) years’ of relevant work related experience in an industrial engineering or Lean discipline
  • Lean Six Sigma green belt or black belt required
  • Experience with complex data analysis including the use of data collection, analysis, and presentation software tools.
  • Project management experience, including project planning and execution and leading teams.
  • Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills with the ability to influence, motivate, mentor, and lead team resources.
  • Ability to solve problems and implement solutions to complex problems with available resources.
  • Ability to analyze and communicate complex data using statistical tools.
  • Experience working successfully with technically oriented customers and cross-functional teams.
  • Strong knowledge in the following areas:
  • Operations, Lean, GeneralEngineering, Quality Control, Data analysis.
  • Experience with semiconductor fabrication or deep-UV microlithography systems is desired
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to translate, statistically analyze data, and effectively report problems through written and/or graphical formats.
  • Excellent customer service skills, with an advanced understanding of internal customer relationship building.
  • Ability to use MS Word, Excel, Project, PowerPoint, and electronic e-mail systems.
  • Self-starter; self-motivator; willing to do what it takes to get the job done.
  • Track record of valued contribution and ability to work well in cross-functional teams
  • Ability to respond to questions from groups of managers and internal customers.

  • Must be willing to work in a clean room environment, wearing coveralls, hoods, booties, safety glasses and gloves for entire duration of shift.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee routinely is required to sit; walk; talk; hear; use hands to keyboard, finger, handle, and feel; stoop, kneel, crouch, twist, reach, and stretch.
  • The employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Can work under deadlines.
