Job Mission

The sector, Customer Support (CS), is responsible for the requirements input, preparation for introduction, the implementation, and profitable maintenance of ASML systems on customer locations.

The CS NPI Project Manager performs technical and non-technical project management activities at the Product/Cluster level for the development, introduction, and improvements of AMSL’s EUV light source. The Position represents the Customer Support organization in the Program/Product Team and/or Functional Cluster(s) collaborating with cross-sector team members in support of the product introduction.

The NPI Project Manager drives CS home office competencies and ASML sectors to complete the deliverables needed for the introduction of new technologies, products, and methods. The NPI Project Manager leads the efforts for transferring products into ASML worldwide service organization and ASML’s customer base.

This position may require access to controlled technology, as defined in the Export Administration Regulations (15 C.F.R. § 730, et seq.). Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to access such controlled technology prior to beginning work. Business demands may require the Company to proceed with candidates who are immediately eligible to access controlled technology.

Job Description

  • As the CS NPI Project Manager you will:
  • Leads CS team members in matrix organization for field readiness of the EUV Source
  • The resource will drive field introduction preparation and deliverables completion to achieve high volume production of wafers at customer sites.
  • Ensure quality deliverables from a broad scope projects for a variety of technologies
  • Use project management skills to develop plans thatadhere to the ASML ways of working,and thePGP process.
  • Creates standard reporting methods and consistent, clear, and useful methods
  • Lead customer Top-X issues resolution on assigned projects via closed loop corrective action process
  • Coordinates and supports key project reviews
  • Lead customer sites to adopt improvements and manages change and implementation in the field.
  • Supports the D&E and Project Team in communicating and/or escalating, to the sponsor and different stakeholders, the issues/risks, mitigation and deviations to the agreed baselines
  • Ensures good cross-functional communication and leads effective meetings
  • May assist/indirectly manage junior staff members with aspects of their job and coordinate actions with peers.
  • Available to travel internationally to customer sites and main offices ( Asia and Europe) up to 25% or as required
  • Capable to travel without limitations to Japan, Korea, China, Taiwan, Europe, and within US
  • Able to respond to travel requests in short notice,sometimes same day
  • Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned as needed

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering Disciplines preferred (Mechanical, Controls,Electrical Engr, or Physics Degree, etc.).Master’s Degree preferred.

Experience

  • At least 10 - 15 years’ experience in a technology based industry, semiconductor industry preferred.
  • Atleast 8 years of relevant, work related experience in Project management.
  • Experienced with product development phases and product validation for field readiness
  • Experienced working alongside a technical team and influencing technical solutions
  • Led teams and participated as team member in a matrix organization
  • Experienced with using applications supporting communication and planning
  • Proven stakeholder management capabilities. Ability to prioritize and escalate
  • PCCSTRAIM/8D methodology, FMEA, closed looped corrective action methods, and product Quality measurements
  • Able to evaluate data and make conclusions, and strong problem solving skills (utilizing fishbone approach)
  • Contribution to technical documents reviews and enrichment of the quality of engineering documentation
  • Contribution/Led Design , documents, plans, tests, and performance reviews
  • Interfacing with high level management internally and with customers

Context of the position

Role will be San Diego office based with interactions and travel within United States, Asia, and Europe. Role requires ability to manage hours to support customers, CS site locations and main office collaborations.

  • Routinely required to sit; walk; talk; hear; use hands to keyboard, finger, handle, and feel; stoop, kneel, crouch, twist, reach, and stretch. Occasionally required to move around the campus.
  • Occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.
  • Able to work in an activity based work environment (ABW office)
  • Will require travel both domestic and international without restrictions and on short-notice,dependent on business needs 25% of the time. Travel durations can be over 20 hours door to door for international sites.
