Mechatronics | Mechanical Engineering Internship: Support the development of the new swap tool

Are you a bachelor student with a background in Mechatronics or Mechanical Engineering? Do you have an independent way of working and an entrepreneurial mindset? Then this assignment could be interesting for you!
Within ASML’s sector Development & Engineering, the group Mechanical layout & Imaging is responsible for all mechanical related (large) constructions for Deep Ultra Violet (DUV) Scanners.
For serviceability and lifetime extension a new tool needs to be designed to swap the reticle stage service unit.
Currently there is no swap tooling available.
Your internship will be primarily focusing on the development of gathering requirements for the new swap tool, making concepts, making a design and performing mechanical analyses. In this internship you will:
- Make an inventory of the requirements
- Collaborate with different stakeholders
- Explore idea and its hardware solutions
- Investigate supporting concepts
- Work on concept design
- Perform Mechanical analyses
- Check mechanical safety requirements
- Check feasibility for ergonomics
- Deliver a Proto Investigation Report
- Optionally, you can work out and validate a prototype
- You are a bachelor student with a background in Mechatronics or Mechanical Engineering.
- You are looking for a graduation internship.
- You have an independent way of working and an entrepreneurial mindset.
- You have good communication skills, since you will be communicating with different stakeholders.
- You are available to start at the end of August for at least 6 months for 5 days per week.
Please note that we can only consider students who are enrolled at a school for the entire duration of the internship.
