ASML is running a company-wide, multi-year program to update and improve its processes and IT systems. This program consists of many different projects and is called ONE (Our New Enterprise).
The sector TWINSCAN Factory (TF) is responsible for the production and installation of TWINSCAN systems, including planning and logistics.
The first and biggest step in this process is bringing the work preparation to a newly defined standard. The task of the team of Manufacturing work preparation engineers is to execute & coordinate this effort for TF.
Bringing work preparation to the newly defined ONE standard will require a lot of effort. Manufacturing work preparation engineer will take up the critical steps.
You will be in close alignment with TF shop floor operators and production engineers to determine exact scope and where efforts result in most benefits.
Next to close cooperation with TF you will be the interface towards outsourced resources who take care of most of the administrative tasks.
The Manufacturing work preparation engineer works in a team and together they are the main taskforce in getting work preparation prepared and migrated to the new IT landscape. The Manufacturing work preparation engineer works in close cooperation with the TF ONE Deployment lead for work preparations to make sure that data preparation / migration and deployment stay in sync.
The responsibilities of aManufacturing Work Preparation Engineer are:
- To define together with engineers & operators the scope & where quality improvements can be made
-To analyze work instructions & sequences on errors to define the work to be done and fix errors in close cooperation with engineers & operators
- To dispatch work to an external agency and act as their interface
- Continuously improve the data preparation / migration process and align these standards with factories in other teams
Bachelor or Master in engineering or comparable.
No prior experience required
- Strong analytical mind
- Focused on quality and continuous improvement
- Drive and enthusiasm to engage with people
- Good English language skills in speech and writing
Context of the position
The sector Operations is responsible for the production of wafer scanners. The complete production process of the most advanced machines takes place within Manufacturing.
The TwinScan Factory (TF) produces the more mature generation of wafer scanners and is constant output pressure to deliver these systems on time to customers. Within this Factory, the TF LAB Manufacturing Improvement team is focused on introducing breakthrough initiatives. Within that team the Manufacturing work preparation engineeris responsible to support the introduction of the ONE program.
The holder of this position reports to the TL of Manufacturing Improvement
