The sourcing & supply chain (S&SC) department plays an important role within ASML. The main responsibility is to ensure the complete supply chain of ASML from buying goods from our suppliers until the delivery of new complex high-tech machines at our customers. Within this supply chain the logistic service operations (LSO) department plays a crucial role to make sure all shipments are delivered on time and within budget. On a yearly basis more than 200.000 shipments are organized across the globe, supported by an extended network of 50 warehouses and customs specialists.

Job Mission

In order to make sure the LSO infrastructure and processes meet our customer demands today and in the future, projects are identified and executed. With the execution of these projects the LSO goods flow & excellence department directly contributes to the success of ASML. In your future role, you will be leading an improvement project or workstream. As a project lead you will be responsible for managing the project or workstream , pro-actively report-out to all stakeholders and ensure accountability of all project members. Depending on the size of the project or workstream you will also play an important role in driving the project content.

Job Description

-Initiate, plan and implement projects / workstream related to the customs, warehousing and transport and goods flow domains
-Apply logistical knowledge in your projects
-Manage projects / workstream with respect to the triple constraints
-Actively drive projects / workstream from the start until the end
-Report-out project progress to all relevant stakeholders
-Build relationships with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders, for example: procurement, logistics suppliers, local operations teams


MSc. or bachelor in Supply Chain Management


- Minimal 8 year experience in a Supply Chain or Logistics position in the High Tech industry
- Minimal 5 year experience as project lead
- Analytic skills that provide facts
- Relevant logistical content knowledge on customs, warehousing and transport
- International work experience
- Experience in implementation of SAP / ERP, WMS and or TMS systems
- Process standardization
- LEAN, Green/Black Belt Six Sigma

Context of the position

A flawless distribution network is key for a smooth supply chain. Fast and flexible transportation networks, differentiated warehousing solutions and complex value-added services are some characteristics of our landscape. Different requirements towards our supply-chain due to development of our systems, the number of upgrades of systems on customer sites and the need for differentiated service level agreements drive the need for a flexible 3PL network. Hence the Logistics Service Operations department is responsible for managing and developing the supply chain / distribution infrastructure in line with business requirements and against aligned norms. A team of highly educated professionals drives the supply chain infrastructure, focused on the rapid developments, based on market intelligence, innovations, business needs, 3PL performance and process analytics.
