In April 2021 EXE has started production of its first EXE prototypes.
The EXE will be built according to a production process where the EXE is split up into multiple Mini Machines (e.g. modular building), reducing cycle time because Mini Machines can be built and qualified in parallel.
Once qualified these Mini Machines will be internally transported to a build cabin. In these cabins each Mini Machine will become part of a full functional machine (system). This entire system is assembled, tested and qualified before leaving the cleanroom towards the customer.
The EXE will be produced in a new factory as part of the EUV Factory organization. The goal of this factory is to bring this product from Proto to Volume production. EXE will be organized as a LEAN Factory with Technicians working in a Natural team setup.
For the Factory organization we are looking for a Team Leader production.
Position in the Organization
The Team Leader EXE acts as line manager of about 10-15 technicians and testers which execute the assembly and testing of the EXE machines and mini-machines. Next to this these Team Leaders will lead the natural (Lean) teams enabling the output of these systems and / or mini-machines. The Team leader reports to a Group Lead in a team of Team Leaders.
The Team Leader is responsible for the manufacturing process for his work center or Milestone with high quality standards and short cycle times driven by continuously improving ASML’s processes and products.
This position will be particularly focused on developing and enabling the “Natural team” to structurally manage towards operational excellence in line with ASML’s LEAN deployment strategy.
-Fulfill basic line manager role for your Team PPM, target setting, DAP, training and skill level, personal ambitions, etc.;
-Identify continuous improvement projects and align the strategy and deliverables with your GL and 6X Project leader;
-Coach and enable your team to execute these projects or deliverables to deliver structural, measurable results;
-Play a lead role in ramp up EXE;
-Lead the Tier 1 Daily Kaizens and deliver consistent information to the Tier 2.
Education: Minimal Bachelor degree in technical field of study.

- Hands on mindset: experience in a factory environment;
- Politically aware: experience aligning across teams with different objectives and viewpoints;
- Experience with NPI (production) at ASML;
- Experience with Lean (natural team set-up);
- Experience with multi-cultural teams.
- Results oriented – “get it done” mindset;
- Stress averse;
- Good communication & Social skills;
- Fluency in Dutch and English is required.
Context of the position
You will lead a leam 10-15 technicians and you will report to Group Leads.
- Work schedule: support shift; 4 days a week morning shift, next week evening shift, 1 weekend every 4 weeks.
- Travel expectation is max 10%.
