The Manager Change & Release Management is a key-role in the IT organization. In this independent role you coordinate, facilitate and align with the IT and business stakeholders on all aspects of the change and release process ensuring proper planning, review & assessment and execution, including the communication.

Job Description

-Is operational responsible for the Change & Release Management process
-Manage operational Change & Release Management cycles – preparation & planning / review & assessment / release & deployment
-Act as IT representative for IT-Corporate Real Estate “long down / extended maintenance window”
-Act as delegated chairman of Change Control Board (CCB)
-Manage, cooperate and align with all stakeholders on Change & Release Management (IT and business)
-Develop, measure, and analyze Critical Success Factors (CSF) and Key Performance Indicators (KPI), and design and generate metric reports
-Develop status and performance reports for staff and senior management
-Drive continuous improvement based on Service Now capabilities.
-Formalize and improve process for Agile/DevOps.
-Support in defining priorities for generic improvement with focus on financial value or savings.
-Deliver/deploy regression test process and proposal to drive coverage and automation improvement/extension
-Define key breakthrough innovation in change & release management (to be discussed / agree with manager)


Master level or equivalent combination of education and experience.


- 5+ years of experience in relevant business and/or IT roles and at least 7 years of experience as a change and release manager (of equivalent) on senior level
- Thorough understanding and practical experience with:
- Change and Release Management
- Test management and methods
- Strong knowledge of risk and control frameworks like SOx, CobIT, ISO and financial processes like Forecast, Budget and Charge-out regime.
- ITIL Service Management processes.

Context of the position

The manager Change & Release Management is working within Core IT department reporting to the Head of Application Services. The manager Change & Release Management is closely working together with all IT stakeholders (change owners and managers) and business stakeholders.

Other information

This role requires you to work on weekends once per month due to the deployment windows.
