Job Mission

The goal of the D&E Expert communities (of practice) is to achieve common ways of working for product development and to provide the enabling technological expertise, solutions, and design rules.
Your role is to support the two responsible D&E management team members in driving the success of these communities. Your main focus will be ensuring company-wide easy access to expert knowledge, connecting people in the communities, and ensuring the communities align their roadmaps.

Job Description

-Coordinate the Technical roadmap process: this annual process ensures the product roadmap can be supported by technical resource and technologies. You coordinate, facilitate and improve this process.
-Support senior management meetings: the communities are governed by various monthly meetings, for which you guard the agenda and meeting effectiveness.
-Coordinate the maturity review cycle: all communities review their progress annually through this process, which you will coordinate.
-Build the community support infrastructure: by establishing roles and responsibilities, defining the maturity model and review cycle.
-Maintain the SharePoint portal: ensuring content on the portal is relevant, complete, easily accessible, and up-to-date.
-Promote the use of expert communities: by designing and executing a communication plan (i.e. organizing and contributing to events, building a community of ambassadors), connecting with ASML wide network).


Bachelor degree or Master’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Business Management or similar.


-5-10 years of work experience in a complex, multi-disciplinary environment.
-Extensive experience with the design and/or implementation of new processes and change and improvement projects in a complex stakeholder landscape.
-Experience with knowledge management and learning networks in organizations.
-A proven track record of quickly understanding complex content.
-Experience in (high) tech environment and knowledge of ASML’s technology and/or suppliers is a strong advantage.

Context of the position

The Functions and Competence Officer D&E (Development & Engineering) is a new position within our ASML D&E organization. This position reports to the D&E BMO Manager. As Functions and Competence Officer D&E you will support the D&E Functions Manager and the Technical Competence Manager and act as their ‘right hand’. In addition, you will work very closely with representatives from each D&E Cluster, forming the Functional Competence Board (FCB), and the Technical Competence Board (TCB) and the Innovation & Technology Workgroup.
