Mechanical Engineering Internship: Wafer Stage test setup design

Are you a bachelor student with background in Mechanical Engineering? Are you interested in studying the behavior of the cable slab? Then this internship could be interesting to you!
The Wafer Stage (WS) is part of the ASML EUV machine. The WS operates in a vacuum environment and is located at the end of the optical path. The main function of the WS is to move and position a wafer with high precision before it is exposed to the EUV light. The WS contains two motion stages to measure and expose two wafers simultaneously.
A complex mechanism of hoses and cables is moving alongside the motion stages to power and condition the critical parts on the stage. This mechanism is called the cable slab and is also operating in a vacuum environment deep down in the system.
In this internship you will study the behavior of the cable slab into full detail for a dedicated test setup. We have a production module cable slab available, but a test setup is needed to simulate the movements of the cable slab in the machine on a low speed.
- You are a bachelor student in Mechanical Engineering.
- You are looking to do your graduation project.
- You are an independent and motivated worker with a practical attitude.
- You are available for 5 days a week with a duration of a minimum 3 months.
Please note that we can only consider students who are enrolled at a school for the entire duration of the internship
