ASML is continuously developing new machines like the new high NA EUV machine, upgrades and services. The technical and organizational complexity is increasing all the time, while the machine must be designed first time right. Therefore, it is key that all requirements are clear at all times. Requirements engineering is one of the main pillars to achieve this. We are currently introducing a requirements management application (Polarion). Therefore, we need dedicated experts to have it rolled out; people who can drive the change and continuously improve our requirements engineering process and form the core team of requirements engineers embedded in our organization.

Job Mission

As Polarion Product Owner and architect, you will lead a DevOps team. You will drive the continued development of the requirements management tooling to meet the needs of the product development community. Help tool users find solutions for difficult use cases. Contribute to increasing the maturity of requirements engineering in ASML by actively learning & relaying that knowledge into the projects and continuously improve our processes and supporting applications. With the team, make the introduction of requirements engineering and the requirements management tool a success.

Job Description

- You are (or will become) a Polarion expert, and play a key role in decision-making with respect to changes to the tooling.
- You use your requirements engineering knowledge to critically examine change requests and business needs to assess if a change will improve how the requirements engineering process is implemented and better understand and estimate business value
- You create & maintain the requirements management tooling roadmap
- You identify & translate business needs into clear requirements for the Polarion DevOps team; you help to refine user stories
- You set priorities and manage the Polarion backlog
- You will be involved in the creation and review of advanced training materials & topics
- You contribute to the continuous improvement in the requirements engineering process and tools (together with the core team)


Masters. Technical direction.


- Developing & managing requirements of complex products
- Improving product development processes
- Hands-on experience in change management
- Some experience and knowledge of configuration management & basic systems engineering
- Preferably have experience with ASML development processes

- Ability to quickly understand the essentials of complex concepts

Context of the position

You will be part of the requirements engineering core team, which is responsible for the roll-out, continuous support and improvements on requirements engineering & requirements management tooling company-wide.
