The mission of Industrial Engineer is to enable a successful mass production in factory and ability to perform service/maintenance/troubleshooting actions in CS. As an expert in SEM wafer alignment, you will function as the technical interface among San Jose D&E teams and internal customers (Factory/CS team).
This position may require access to controlled technology, as defined in the Export Administration Regulations (15 C.F.R. § 730, et seq.). Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to access such controlled technology prior to beginning work. Business demands may require the Company to proceed with candidates who are immediately eligible to access controlled technology.
Work closely with SEM sensing & mechatronic team, to be responsible for reviewing design of the most advanced metrology/inspection electron beam system, participate in early design phase of wafer alignment flow, validate design concepts during system integration & prototype testing, carry out documentation and initiate Cost/CT/Availability analysis.
Participate in early design phase of product circle, work closely with designers to ensure all design specs are achieved and manufacturable. Catch failure and weak points during design phase and be able to perform diagnostic and failure analysis to identify root cause and improve yield at manufacturing.
Design manufacturing sequence to optimize cycle time and maximize performance, take up the ownership, influence designers/customers by explaining/presenting tech matters and validate performance data on proto systems.
Co-work with other engineering groups to assemble, test and qualify the new-designed optical modules. ensure integration and qualification at the system level successful, and take responsibility of the result in your part of competence and process.
Develop the required supporting documentation, such as assembly, calibration and qualification procedures; Transfer all related new designs, documentations and associated tooling and provide necessary trainings & knowledge sharing workshops to factory/CS.
Master in applied physics, or electrical engineering with a strong foundation in the fundamentals of physics and charged particle physics is preferred. Or bachelor’s degree with at least 2 years relevant work experience.
Minimum 1 of Year of relevant experience in Semi-conductor industrial.
Knowledge/hands-on experience with Solidworks,/NX,
Semiconductor Equipment experience desired and experience with high resolution imaging systems a plus.
Working knowledge of high-vacuum systems
Strong English communication skills – both in written and oral, ability to influence.

Must be able to read and interpret data, information, and documents. Interpret and update Gantt charts. Understand basic project planning, dependencies, and milestones

The employee is required to work in a cleanroom environment: full gowning (full body coveralls, hood, CR safety shoes, face mask, nitrile gloves and safety glasses. Working under ISO 9000/14000 standards).
While performing the duties of this job, the employee routinely is required to sit; walk; talk; hear; use hands to keyboard, finger, handle, and feel; stoop, kneel, crouch, twist, reach, and stretch. Occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.
The environment generally is moderate in temperature and noise level.
Evaluate the manufacturing effectiveness of a build process and implement improvements to meet build cycle times and product design specifications. As required, maintain records and reporting systems for coordination of manufacturing operations
Read and interpret design drawings, schematics, or documents and provide feedback to designer. Understanding of system level interactions between Electron-optics, electronics and mechanical parts to enable effective problem solving at the system level down to the individual piece part level.

Self-driven individual with keen technical ability. Willing to learn and apply new information or skills.
May require international travel dependent on business needs around 25%.
