ASML’s Applications products are critical elements in the semiconductor manufacturing process. Software system level testing is a very important step in the development process of our products and ensures that the system meets specifications. The Product Owner/Release Project Leader System Test & Integration is a key participant in the system level test process and provides important input to the product release decision making process.

It is your mission to manage, test and report on the quality of ASML’s products at the system level. Your teams prevent issues from reaching the customer. You manage internal and external stakeholders.

Job Description

As a Release PO/PL STI you are a member of the PWC System Test & Integration group. The group is responsible for alpha testing multiple applications and platforms. Your teams are supporting in testing, integration and test automation tasks. Every test team exists of one test architect and multiple test engineers. A dedicated scrum master is responsible to manage team performance.
You are a key stakeholder in the definition, creation, execution and reporting on system level. You should be able to shield the process and the team by setting the right priorities. Chair alpha Change Control Board, manage external stakeholders, create release schedule, manage Go/NoGo meetings, interface with other Product Owners, operational report to Program Management. Provide regular feedback to the GL. Help people to grow and respect their differences. Empower the team to perform.
Celebrate successes with the team and help them as well to learn from mistakes.
Your test teams work with development teams in diagnosing the issues and re-testing solutions.
Testers report the issues found and enable the product teams to judge the impact and risks of the issues. Lead time and test quality are important; you continuously seek ways to improve the efficiency and effectivity of the team. During the alpha test period, the team is expected to work outside regular office hours. The Test & Integration team is close to 30 people and follows an Agile/Kanban way of working.

You perform the following tasks:
- Host weekly planning session
- Team up with different ART's
- Manage release content
- Focus on the success of the integration plan, communicate transparently code closure dates
- Create long term release schedule
- Define KPI’s
- Collect and present metrics
- Follow-up with project/development teams on release content availability
- Chairing CCB meetings


Master degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or Information Technology.


- You have >10 years of experience as a Test Manager/Project manager in a complex software development organization.
- You are ISTQB certified (Advanced Test Manager);
- You have a vision on integration, automated testing and knowledge on test techniques.
- Familiar with Agile rituals as development teams are working according SAFe.

- You are flexible, result driven, have a “make it happen attitude”, are an excellent communicator and a self-starter.

- You can combine pragmatism in execution with a structural process approach.

- Ability to manage the team towards the release goals “scope, time ,cost”- wise.

- Effectively monitor and control alpha tests and safeguard in time deliveries.

- Communicate transparently and promptly on possible integration/release issues, especially towards other PO’s and to program management.

- Create a good team environment and immediate action on worrying situations in cooperation with the GL and the scrum master.

Context of the position

ASML’s main product is the wafer scanner, a complex high precision machine used by our customers in the semiconductor industry to create Integrated Circuits. But within ASML, the lesser known Business Line “Applications” creates a new type of products that helps our customers to improve the quality of their designs and their manufacturing process.These products measure deficiencies in the customer’s process and use ASML’s wafer scanners to correct them. The Applications business line is very successful, is growing and is generating a significant part of ASML’s revenue.

This position requires access to U.S. controlled technology, as defined in the United States Export Administration Regulations. Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to access such U.S. controlled technology prior to beginning work. Business demands may require ASML to proceed with applicants who are immediately eligible to access U.S. controlled technology.
