Job Mission

Your mission will be to guide and coach our Agile Release Trains towards increasingly successful execution by driving continuous improvement and by finding solutions for major roadblocks on our journey. You will be collaborating with agile teams, agile leadership as well as line and project management to build on the fundaments of D&E 3.0 and the [email protected] operating model. To be successful you must facilitate a strong sense of self organizing teamwork by understanding your colleagues’ roles and their challenges. Strong interpersonal communication skills are crucial in this multi-disciplinary and dynamic environment.

Job Description

As an Agile Coach in the BM cluster you:
- Drive continuous improvement for the agile teams and Agile Release Trains in Bottom cluster together with the Release Train Engineers. Bottom cluster scope (June 2021): 6 agile release trains (14 stable teams in total).
- Contribute to optimize the [email protected] operating model and you align with program to improve program delivery.
- Join self-organizing teams to tackle issues, e.g. complaints on long term planning (6 Q ahead) and reporting status on product level
- Organize cluster level initiatives and knowledge transfer, e.g. by means of communities of practice.
- Drive collaboration between ARTs, deploys best practices, monitor performance.
- Coach DMs/GLs to coach employees with agile roles.
- Coach the teams and leaders (SM/PO/CPO/RTE) in their (scaled) agile roles and rituals.
- Network with other agile coaches, create and exchange learnings with other clusters.

Know how
- You are a recognized authority on (scaled) agile and you have deep knowledge on agile and [email protected] principles.
- You understand the ASML context, live and breathe the cluster and have a natural link towards cluster staff and a strong focus on cluster-based challenges.
- You have a proven track record of teaching, coaching and/or mentoring in ASML.


To be completed


- Managerial experience, preferably within a technical environment
- At least 5 years of relevant industrial experience.
- Strong affinity with multidisciplinary and / or function teams with hardware content

- You have a helicopter view and can cover a broad scope
- You show creativity, initiative, discipline and team spirit.
- You have good communication skills
- You have a learning mindset: open and ready for change, challenging the status quo

Context of the position

- You are positioned in the SPM department (reporting into the SPM department manager), but guide and coach all BM cluster departments.
- You Interface and align with members of the D&E SAFe team and the Local Change Teams in the departments
- The collective of agile coaches gets time in the D&E staff to report status, address challenges and issue help requests.
