Job Mission

To design and demonstrate solutions to optimize the configuration management of the Litho Scanner systems.

Job Description

You will be part of the ONE program. Main tasks:

  • Definition of core product and process structures - ensure configuration management (CM) capabilities are built up in a consistent way across all projects in ONE;
  • Manage Configuration Changes - ensure efficient and high quality execution of Configuration Changes with full traceability;
  • Valid Configurations - ability to define valid configurations based on functional requirements and to manage effectivity in engineering;
  • SW-BoM – xBoP coupling - ensure consistency between Bill-of-Material and Bill-of-Process information for all operational processes within software (SW);
  • You will interact with people from various jobs and backgrounds in ASML (e.g. Development Engineers, Production Engineers, Customer Service Engineers).


At least a MSc or higher (PDEng/PhD) in Software Engineering / Computer Science.


  • At least 2 years of working experience as a Software Architect, with focus on product and system;
  • You are experienced in architecture, system design and development and engineering;
  • You have experience working with a wide range of products as an Architect;
  • You have experience with configuration management;
  • You have relevant work experience with hardware (HW) and software (SW);
  • Good control and understanding of the English language is required as you will be working with people of various nationalities.

Context of the position

Within ASML the sector Development & Engineering (D&E) is responsible for the specification, design and implementation of the ASML products.

The Software Architecture department in D&E is responsible for the software architecture that supports all the lithographic systems and the EUV light source e.g. modularity, patterns, rules and guidelines, as well as the definition of the increments for new products. Within this role you will report to the manager of the Software Products Architects group.

This position may require access to controlled technology, as defined in the Export Administration Regulations (15 C.F.R. §730, et seq.). Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to access such controlled technology prior to beginning work. Business demands may require ASML to proceed with candidates who are immediately eligible to access controlled technology.
