Job Mission

The Customer Supply Chain Management Group Lead is key to driving the performance of the Customer Supply Chain Management team. In this role the CSCM Group Lead is responsible for managing the deliverables and performance of the members of the CSCM team. This team drives spares planning and replenishment to support stocking requirements worldwide to customers and other ASML factories. The CSCM team coordinates with various functions within the ASML to ensure customer service requests are handled appropriately and in a timely manner. Within ASML, the CSCM team is the San Diego factory that forms collaborative partnerships with the global field support teams to ensure customer service level performance standards are met by serving as the main interface between the factory and the customer. The CSCM Group Lead will drive the development and growth of the persons and the processes.

Job Description

Responsible for supervising and ensuring execution of supplying spare and upgrade parts to customer field locations

  • Supports managing relationship of the CSCM counterparts at customer field sites and ASML San Diego management
  • Ensures timely review of customer stocking levels to determine adjustments needed for safety stock and reorder point targets at global distribution centers and customer warehouses
  • Develops strategies to manage service planning of New Product introduction (NPI) parts to avoid excess logistics and obsolesce costs
  • Manages internal negotiation of allocation decisions regarding critical service parts and shortages based on regional stocking needs and future demands
  • Fosters effective communication between the San Diego CSCM team and international colleagues on appropriate supply plans
  • Manages overall escalation path CSCM related issues between ASML Factory and global customer sites
  • Manages weekly supply plan meetings between San Diego factory and global customers in US, Asia, and Europe

Drives development and implementation of analytical tools for monitoring spare parts usage patterns and forecasting potential material shortages or risks

  • Ensures team maintains accurate commitments in data integrity in SAP planning system as well as internal factory tracking tools (Lean-kit, etc)
  • Presents critical reporting for forecasts and customer stocking level recommendations at an executive management level
  • Identifies cross-functional solutions with Production and Material Planning groups to resolve material availability escalations

Identifies resources to support troubleshooting and resolution of logistics issues amongst cross functional departments associated with demand, quality or delivery at the San Diego factory and CSCM global local sites.Escalates resolution of errors in SAP and associated logistics planning tools

Develops and drives KPIs which lead to improved efficiency and support of factory and customer driven initiatives

  • Maintains standardized KPI Dashboard reports on inventory stocking levels, on time delivery, past due orders, and other metrics as assigned
  • Identifies and implements policy/process improvements to influence improvement on KPIs
  • Supports ad-hoc performance reporting to assist in the accomplishment of the team’s overall objectives

Uses outstanding leadership skills to develop and grow team of CSCM Planners

  • Partners with Training and Development team to identify knowledge gaps and create training material and roadmaps to increase employee skillset
  • Conducts regular one on one meetings with direct employees to provide continuous coaching and feedback for employee performance
  • Executes performance reviews and development action plans with direct employees to support growth and succession planning.Completes performance management programs with employees as needed
  • Identifies personnel resource requirements and makes staffing recommendations to senior management
  • Effectively identifies and selects personnel needed to support department requirements


Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, Production Management or related business or technical degree, followed by a minimum of (10) years of professional experience with at least (2) years in a leadership role, in the position offered or related capacities

APICS certification a plus


  • Expert knowledge and understanding of MRP, JIT, Kanban Lean Manufacturing and supply versus demand theories
  • Experience in Manufacturing and Planning modules in SAP environment or similar ERP System (Oracle, BAAN, etc) preferred
  • Ability to manage the translation and statistical analysis of data, and effectively make recommendations to influence business practices
  • Advanced knowledge of MS suite of products such as MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
