The IT competence center for Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) is responsible for delivering solutions that push the limits of technology of digital design, manufacturing and services. We deliver cutting-edge solutions to solve some of ASML’s toughest challenges. Together with our partners, and based on global best practices, we deliver the digital foundation of product innovation.

Job Mission

Within IT PLM, the AR/VR team is responsible for providing state-of-the-art Augmented Reality and Virtual Reality (AR/VR) applications for ASML’s Engineering, Manufacturing, Service and Training customers as well as experimental demos to excite our stakeholders about the potential of AR/VR technology.

Job Description

As an AR/VR development expert, you will develop applications, experiences and content for Augmented and Virtual Reality: for instance apps for our Engineers in the Cleanroom to provide next-level maintenance using Hololens. Additionally, you ensure that our AR/VR tooling and 3D content pipelines are designed optimally across the different development environments. You will work on the ‘how’, whilst your team members design the ‘what’ and the ‘why’.

You:

Are a development expert with multiple years of experience in AR/VR development and a hands-on mentality.

Have a strong foundation in Object Oriented Programming (OOP) in C# or similar language

Have up-to-date knowledge of modern AR/VR approaches and related technologies, devices and solutions and are passionate about driving innovative solutions

Are able to describe software functionality (functional design) in a communicable way

Contribute to the AR/VR technical roadmap for ASML

Create uniformity where possible, define dedicated solutions where necessary

Actively seek collaboration between stakeholders

This position is part of the AR/VR team in the ASML IT PLM department.

Education

Bachelor education in a relevant field.

Experience

You have at least 3 years of work experience as a developer

You have extensive experience in Unity (must) and Unreal development (preferred)

It is a pre if you have experience with Computer Vision, Machine Learning, related tools and programming languages or 3D Modeling

It is a pre if you have experience with development for AR-headsets (Microsoft Hololens) and VR-headsets (HTC Vive)

You are familiar with Agile/Scrum, User Testing

Context of the position

At ASML we invent, develop and manufacture world-leading high-tech lithography machines for our chip-making customers. These tailor-made machines can image billions of structures in a few seconds with an accuracy of a few silicon atoms. Our headquarters is located near the heart of the Eindhoven region, also known as ‘Brainport’, Europe’s top tech hub.

One of the competence centers in the IT department is Competence Center Product Lifecycle Management. This team is responsible for the infrastructure and tooling for ASML’s configuration management and product lifecycle management processes.
