Job Mission

To strengthen the team, we are looking for an AR/VR Business Process Analyst (BPA). As a BPA, you are responsible for the translation of business requirements into functional designs of concrete, state-of-the-art IT solutions for AR/VR. Additionally, to identify new business value opportunities based on new AR/VR technology.

Job Description

You are the linking pin between the business key users, the IT organization and the outsourcing partners. You clarify business needs, lead the design and support the build activities and assist in the implementation of the solution in the business.
Content wise your working area will be with business sectors, product design, production engineering, manufacturing and services, and the respective IT tooling (Teamcenter, SAP, Microsoft, and other relevant publication and AR/VR tools). The available BPA position targets specifically the topic of virtual product development, manufacturing and service, and AR/VR across the product lifecycle.
Being (or becoming) the main contact for key stakeholders in the ASML organization comes natural to you.
- Have up-to-date knowledge of modern AR/VR approaches and related technologies, devices and solutions
- Actively seek collaboration with and between stakeholders regarding AR/VR and PLM
- Challenge the business requirements in order to define a functional design that builds on standard IT solutions as much as possible, but also includes new solutions and technologies when relevant
- Are able to describe the functionality (functional design) in a communicable way
- Working in an Agile team, translating the requirements into backlog items, taking care of intake till go live & hand-over to support
- Testing the functionality as built by outsourced partners
- Will proactively look for technical level improvements and prepare these for evaluation by the AR/VR team
- Contribute to the AR/VR technical roadmap for ASML
This position is part of the AR/VR team in the ASML IT PLM department.


Master or Bachelor’s in Information Technology, Mechanical or Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing or Service.


- You have at least 3 years of experience with engineering, manufacturing and/or services processes and related tooling (preferably Teamcenter / SAP) in a complex, high-tech development environment
- It is a pre if you have experience with Augmented and Virtual Reality, Computer Vision, Machine Learning and related tools
- You are able to document, validate, challenge business requirements, and translate them into functional IT specifications
- You are experienced in analyzing processes (“As Is” & “To Be”) and to assist development of a business case (including a breakdown of the IT cost)
- You are passionate about Augmented and Virtual Reality and aware of the latest developments in this field
- You are able to quickly switch between levels of abstractions (from technical detail to system level) and with your continuous improvement attitude you always strive for the common goals and team success
- You are familiar with Agile/Scrum, User Testing and Design Thinking

Context of the position

At ASML we invent, develop and manufacture world-leading high-tech lithography machines for our chip-making customers. These tailor-made machines can image billions of structures in a few seconds with an accuracy of a few silicon atoms. One of the competence centers in the IT department is Competence Center Product Lifecycle Management. This team is responsible for the infrastructure and tooling for ASML’s configuration management and product lifecycle management processes.
