Job Mission

As Product System Engineer you are the technical leader of a product development program. The primary responsibility of this position is the definition of customer specifics DUV products systems based on existing platforms.

Job Description

As Product System Engineer, you are part of the product team. Together with Product (Marketing) Manager and the Product Development Manager, you give direction to the development of new products or the structural improvement of our installed base. You lead a team of function systems engineers and function architects to achieve the deliverables.

You are responsible for system performance. You align with different function architects and projects and manage interfaces between key projects.

Your tasks and responsibilities include the following:

  • You balance effort and impact from the team to get the best result for ASML and the customer
  • You inspire the team and make sure that all relevant expertise is involved
  • You interact with ASML field marketing in order to select and define improvements of ASML products beneficial to our customer.

Your proposals for product definition can cover a wide variety of solutions concerning hardware and software (re)designs. These proposals shall be balanced across all the different business drivers: overlay, focus, imaging, productivity, availability, factory cycle time and cost.

Education

Min. MSc degree in Electrical or Mechanical engineering or (applied) Physics is mandatory.

You have a solid background in several of the following fields: semiconductor manufacturing and process technology, semiconductor device physics, data analysis, statistics.

For this role a good knowledge of the different ASML system modules is important (“machine builder”).

Experience

You have a minimum of 8 years of experience within the semiconductor industry. You combine in depth technical knowledge and experience in overseeing complex systems and product roadmaps.

Personal skills

You represent ASML as an expert in the field and are recognized as such by the customers. Since you are working intimately with customers and sensitive customer data, a high level of integrity is required.

Furthermore, you have developed the following skills:

Context of the position

The department of System Engineering is part of the Product and Technology sector of ASML and consists of about 130 employees.

As System Engineer, you work in a demanding multidisciplinary environment.Your internal stakeholders are the higher Development & Engineering (D&E) management and technical leads, group leaders responsible for resources, project leaders executing the implementation of the product improvement proposal and fellow system engineers.

Other information

Travelling a few times per year to customers worldwide is to be expected.
