Job Mission

The internship is a 12 week program starting 5/16, 5/31, or 6/20. We anticipate this being on-site Summer 2022.

We are looking for an intern who have a passion for designing and developing database and client user interface solutions.

Interns will work within the Data Products who design and develop data systems and applications for our field network.The Data Products team consist of software developers, database and test specialists. They will get to participate in designing for excellence - reusability, modularity, simplicity, maintainability and you will help determine the best test methodologies.

Specifically, they will be working on a project to build an in-house central configuration management application.This application uses SQL Server and interfaces to our software deployment systems.A proof of concept user interface has been created to allow users to manage rules and configuration. They will build on this proof of concept – reviewing and improving design for stability and maintenance and adding functionality.

Job Description

  • Understand and interpret data in a relational database context.
  • Conceptualize and translate user requirements to database/software solutions.
  • Implement database change ensuring performance and data integrity.
  • Understand user interface design concepts and database connectivity.

Education

Completion of at least 3 years BS degree program in Computer Science or Data Analytics, or related Data Science field. Masters program student preferred.

Experience

  • Experience of using relational databases / SQL Server experience.
  • Object Oriented programming – Java, python
  • Client user interface development
