Job Mission

The purpose of the Competence & Quality Manager is to manage, coach and develop a team of competence engineers, and suppliers. All of this based on and executed within CRE’s strategic pillars (Safety, TCO, Flexibility, Business Alignment, Wellbeing and Sustainability).

As a Business Partner factory management both LF and TNF, the regional Competence & Quality Manager leadsthe local competence & quality team (demand management) organization and therefore is responsible for managing local CRE technical utility engineering services for all ASML locations in the region.

Job Description

•Translate the global policies for related services and decide upon proposals of suppliers on how they want to achieve the objectives and fill in their services and processes.
•Decide upon/be responsible for the approach and implementation plans to apply global standards to the local sites.
•Decide on solutions with (major) impact on operations.
•Decide/judge on supplier performance and (if applicable) coinciding consequences. This also includes allocation of budgets.
•Decide on the approach for managing the relationship with (key) stakeholders such as (but not limited to) ASML’s business and (key) suppliers.
•Decide on and prioritize innovation and continuous improvement initiatives.
•Decide on the CRE CAPEX budget and short and long term planning and allocation of the budget.


Bachelor / Master degree in Engineering, Facility Management, Business Management or similar.


7 – 10 years of relevant experience in an international high tech industrial environment
3 – 5 years of managerial experience

When managing the regional Competence & Quality team, the Manager acts from the strategic pillars and translates needs for the future into short and long term plans for the hard service domain.

The Manager of Regional Competence & Quality team is leading the Competence & Quality team and translates future needs (demand) as well as relevant trends and developments into short and long term plans for the hard services domain to be executed by the Regional Delivery & Supply Hard Service team. The Manager of Regional Competence & Quality team acts as the linking pin between the business, (key) suppliers, the global CRE team and the Regional CRE team.

Other information

The scope covers the region of Taiwan, Singapore and Malaysia. In future to support rest of Asia Region
Fluent in English (spoken, written) is a must
