Job Mission

The Material Planning Manager will lead an Operational Supplier Management Team (OSMT) managing people and their development, develop and implement policies, year plan and practices, and contribute to the development of strategy. Management will be in line with corporate guidelines, (business) plans and strategy, in order to ensure the realization of (strategic) objectives of the assigned unit

This position requires access to controlled technology, as defined in the Export Administration Regulations (15 C.F.R. § 730, et seq.). Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to access such controlled technology prior to beginning work. Business demands may require ASML to proceed with candidates who are immediately eligible to access controlled technology.

Job Description

  • Accountablefor department results.
  • Responsible for material procurement from worldwide customer base in support of Wilton factory module build plant.
  • Responsible for all tactical logistics aspects of supplier performance for a supplier base of more than 100 suppliers.
  • Responsible for up to $100 million in raw material inventories and management of.
  • Coaches anddevelops (planning) competencies within team. Sets prioritiesof activities of the entire team. Interfaces andbuilds relations with an increased number of suppliers, increased scope and criticality.
  • Coordinates and manages operational annual plan and contributes to the strategy of the assigned area.
  • Explains and convinces internal and external parties beyond content driven arguments and is able to appeal to interest, culture and level of others and knows how and when to influence typical stakeholders department, other department managers, Directors and external stakeholders.
  • Evaluates organizational design for own functional discipline and initiates and implements organizational improvements and evaluates (work) processes across functional disciplines and supports implementation of these improvements.
  • Supervises work of ≥20 direct reports.
  • Manages demand & supply for complex technology and business partners with complex decision making unit and while managing risk, much more impact on working capital or customer impact.
  • Drives improvement programs with customers and suppliers.
  • Prepares capacity, stocking strategy and new product introduction in customer & supplier supply chains.
  • Manages cross sector escalations.
  • Needs to understand Supply Chain Management/Planning Systems on high level to manage material availability risks for factory and customers.
  • Needs to understand and interpret factory and customer demand..
  • Is able to translate factory and customer requirements/expectations into operational execution.
  • Communicates on material availability to internal senior leadership and/or customer.


Bachelors degree required.Masters degree a plus.Or equivalent experience.


  • 10 years’ experience in supply chain management and logistical operations surrounding material planning.
  • Demonstrated experience with people development and leadership of large teams.
  • Proactive and effective communicator.Comfortable with all levels of management both internal and external
  • Demonstrated career progression.
  • Ability to convert complex often data driven matter to clear overviews and insights.
  • Pragmatic results-oriented management utilizing KPI’s to help drive decisions.
  • Proficiency with SAP logistical operations required.
