The Netherlands

This position is a unique opportunity to be trained into becoming a world class Customer Support Engineer. The first two years you will spend at the ASML HQ in Veldhoven, the Netherlands. Here, you will be trained in our technologies, analytical and trouble shooting skills in one of the competence engineering teams within the Customer Support Department. Simultaneously, you will have the opportunity to learn soft skills, for instance stakeholder management, stress resistance and influencing without power. All this will take place via on the job training, classroom settings, e-learning and personal coaching.

Taiwan Job Assignment

After two years (or maybe even earlier) you’re ready to leave the Netherlands for the amazing ‘Island of Semiconductors’: Taiwan. In Taiwan you will join the local ASML team in order to strengthen their solving power as a 2nd Line Customer Support Engineer.
Immigrating to another country, adjusting to a new culture and taking on a new role is exciting and can also be challenging. ASML will support you in making this transition as smooth as possible. Our colleagues is Taiwan will also make sure that you will receive a soft landing to familiarize and adapt yourself to your new environment in and outside of the workplace.

Your main responsibilities:

• Analyze, diagnose and troubleshoot ASML systems at the customer site; 
• Perform repairs, retrofits and preventive maintenance on ASML systems at the customer site;
• Work together with the customer, ASML peers and staff management to assure timely and accurate support; 
• Take part in projects that aim to improve our support and performance. With your experience and knowledge of the ASML organization gained during your traineeship in the Netherlands, you will add value to the Taiwan organization;
• Be involved in New Product Introductions and training of the customer;
• Add your unique perspective to continue building a long term partnership with our customer.

Applicant Requirements

• You have a Master’s degree in Science and Engineering (e.g. Physics, Mechatronics, Electronics, Chemistry, AerospaceEngineering, Process technology or similar); 
•You have eagerness and drive to develop yourself quickly both technically and personally;
•You are willing to settle in Taiwan and to commit to living there for a larger period of time;
•Your command of the English language is good. A good command of the Mandarin language is an advantage.
