Job Mission

development. You have the required experience with functional and object oriented software
development to be able to guide the evolution of the DUV and EUV and Application programs in the
context of the Twinscan scanner software.

You like working in an Agile software development context using software technologies such as C++/C
and Google Mock/Test & Python. Internal ASML customers need your competence to create new
solutions. Primary stakeholders are the product owner(s), project leaders, group leader, function
cluster (test) architects, software product architects, integrators. Furthermore, you represent your
team’s stakes and team members’ needs in the ASML organization. You assist the group leader in
setting targets for team members and coaching them in their contribution and professional
development.

Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills are crucial. You are ambitious and

Job Description

- Act as solution provider for the functional cluster’s software contribution
- Guide integration of the functional cluster software solutions
- As scrum master for the 6 to 10 FTE software team or multiple teams, you lead the scrum
process, including evaluation and continuous improvement (addressing impediments)
- Contribute to hands-on software development (Dutch: meewerkend voorman)
- Maintain deal (handshake) with stakeholders on software plan
- Act as software group ambassador
- Support realization of the functional cluster road map
- Secure quality of team deliverables
- Coach team members
- Assessment of functional and integration risks
- Address and if necessary escalate bottlenecks

Education

BSc or MSc in computer science, mathematics, physics, mechanics, electronics or related technical

Experience

- Minimum 3 years of experience as scrum master in a high-tech environment
- Experienced in working in SAFe or Agile team environment and applying lean practices
- 5 years in object oriented development of technical software for high-tech equipment
- (SAFe) Scrum Master certification is a pré
- C++ and/or C experience is a pré
- Factory Automation (SECS, EDA, etcetera), data management & security, data policy related

its stakeholders and who likes to initiate, influence and stir on all applicable levels. Proper
communication skills (both written and verbal) and a good command of English is key.

Context of the position

Within ASML, the sector Development & Engineering (D&E) is responsible for the development of
ASML products. Within this sector the department Machine Control (MC) is responsible for the design,
implementation and maintenance of the high level control and data access software of the complex
lithographic machines. ASML creates high tech machines; software engineers from MC are facing
several aspects of production control, data management and interface control. A huge code base is
maintained and under strict configuration management to provide maximum commonality between
different machine types.

The scrum team(s) is/are part of the Data Agile Release Train (DART) that comprises around 75 FTE
(excluding farmout). The DART works for all Business Lines (DUV, EUV, Applications) in multiple
function clusters and competences.
