Job Mission

ASML is the world’s leading provider of lithography systems for the semiconductor industry, manufacturing complex machines that are critical to the production of integrated circuits or microchips. This position is for an Electrical Test Group Production Engineer Intern with innovative attitude to work in the Production Engineering Test department within the Wilton Factory.The intern will work with Production and Development engineers to implement comprehensive production test HW/SW that incorporates a high level of performance verification and troubleshooting diagnostics.Ultimately improving the work flow and cycle time in the Manufacturing work centers.

This position requires access to controlled technology, as defined in the Export Administration Regulations (15 C.F.R. § 730, et seq.). Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to access such controlled technology prior to beginning work. Business demands may require ASML to proceed with candidates who are immediately eligible to access controlled technology.

Job Description

  • Work with Test Engineers to develop design solutions that addresses comprehensive production testing issues. This improves Cycle time and WC output.
  • Engage with Production engineering at the start of a new project to help ensure the tester designs accommodate all aspects of MFG engineering.
  • Spends about 75% of time in the Cleanroom providing direct support to production test engineeringand troubleshooting.
  • Provide efficient response to troubleshoot electro-mechanical modules and subassemblies.
  • Provide efficient response to troubleshoot multi-discipline test equipment (Hardware/Software/Electrical/Servo).
  • Ability to quickly acquire technical knowledge from documentation and from on-the-job training.
  • Able to read mechanical, electrical and optical schematics.
  • SW knowledge with:MATLAB, C/C++, Python, MS Visual Studio, LabView and C#.
  • Analyze MATLAB runs and plot data from database.
  • Support query code to interrogate data for manufacturing needs.
  • Support analysis on test data and derive conclusions.
  • Develop Fishbones and troubleshooting guidelines.
  • Support diagnostics qualification and implementation for production staff.
  • Support development of Manufacturing procedures and technical work instructions.
  • Support design and document reviews for production with diagnostics.
  • Support DOA root cause analysis.
  • The employee is required to work in a cleanroom environment:
  • Full gowning (full body coveralls, hood, CR safety shoes, face mask, nitrile gloves and safety glasses. Working under ISO 9000/14000 standards).
  • Working around overhead cranes, fork trucks and motorized pallet movers.
  • Working around electrical test equipment, lasers; working with ladders; working on platforms; and working around chemicals.

Education

Currently enrolled in accredited university in junior, senior (December 2022 grad), or master's year:

  • Bachelor or Master of Science, Mechatronics
  • Bachelor or Master of Science, Electrical Engineering

Experience

  • Electrical Engineeringbasics and design experience through projects or research.
  • Working knowledge of MATLAB, C/C++/C#, Python, LabView, and/or MS Visual Studio
  • Solid understanding offundamental electrical circuits / analysis and mechatronic assemblies.
  • Able to read schematics.
  • Experience with voltmeters, oscilloscopes, function generators…etc
  • Application development, embedded development and industrial automation is a plus
  • Working knowledge with Optical-Electrical sensors is a plus.
  • Working knowledge of NX, Teamcenter and SAP is a plus.
  • Working knowledge with servo and mechatronic control systems.
  • Working knowledge with complicated multi-disciplinary (Electro-Mechanical) assembly.
  • Working knowledge with integrated Hardware/Software testers.
  • Working Knowledge in image/signal /data process algorithm, statisticsand software development.
  • Must display a solid understanding of complicated manufacturing assemblies.
  • Experience in a production environment with high tech products and complex production processes.
  • Candidate must be organized, disciplined and assertive to work in a development and manufacturing environment of a large company.
  • Candidate must have strong communicative skills and proven record of working with production engineers and test technicians.

Responsibilities:

  • Must be willing to work in a clean room environment, wearing coveralls, hoods, booties, safety glasses and gloves for entire duration of shift.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee routinely is required to sit; walk; talk; hear; use hands to keyboard, finger, handle, and feel; stoop, kneel, crouch, twist, reach, and stretch.
  • The employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
  • Can work under deadlines.
  • The environment generally is moderate in temperature with moderate to high noise level.
  • Must be willing to work a compressed work week schedule – twelve-hour long shift and rotating from three to four days a week.
