Job Mission

The main mission is to guide and enable the scrum teams, ensure timely delivery. You help foster an environment for high-performing team dynamics, continuous flow. You enable self-organizing, self-managing team to achieve its goals.

Job Description

As a Team Leader of scrum teams, you would be responsible for implementing engineering processes for the team, who are working on some of the most difficult projects in the industry. You will provide leadership and guidance to the team members and enable them to provide high quality deliverables, help build up a high performance team and manage the general team well-being. You would also be the responsible for stakeholder management and streamline communication channels with the team in a large matrix organization. Your main responsibilities are:

1. Team Lead Aspects

  • To lead, build and facilitate the teams to become high performing.
  • To create focus in the teams and facilitates the team’s progress toward team goal in alignment with project and function goal.
  • To signal and remove impediments in order to ensure timely delivery from the scrum teams.
  • To support the team’s efforts to continuously improve communications and relationships with other teams
  • To challenge the teams to walk the extra mile and come with creative solutions for business problems.
  • To ensure that the teams follow the technical way of working and ensure that quality is secured
  • Be the voice of the team towards the stakeholders
  • Support convey the business context to the scrum teams of their respective deliverables

2. Enable Agile Projects

  • To helps the Product Owner in their efforts to manage the backlog and guide the team while facilitating a healthy team dynamic with respect to priorities and scope.
  • Facilitates agile related rituals relevant for the teams
  • To create transparency and alignment on team speed, quality of deliverables and happiness.
  • To provide analyses of current team performance, evaluate
  • To ensure that the dependencies and risks are managed and inform the relevant stakeholders on risks
  • To ensure that the pre-conditions are in place in order to start a work item (Definition of Ready)


Master’s degree or PhD in physics / optics, electronics, or related.


  • Over 8 years of work experience of which at least 3-5 years in a Scrum Master role in a high-tech, multidisciplinary environment.
  • Experience with managing multiple scrum teams.

Context of the position

This position is available in the Dose control group which is part of the Optical Column. The holder of this position is reporting to the Dose & System Control Group Leader. You will be working with multidisciplinary teams composed of different competencies all related to the Dose Control function of our EUV machines.

This position requires access to U.S. controlled technology, as defined in the United States Export Administration Regulations. Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to access such U.S. controlled technology prior to beginning work. Business demands may require ASML to proceed with applicants who are immediately eligible to access U.S. controlled technology.
