The products of ASML’s Applications Business Line are critical elements in high end semiconductor manufacturing processes. They build on the capabilities of our world renowned scanners, using them as an actuator to correct distortions caused by other process steps.
Within Applications, the Process Window Control (PWC) and Process Window Detection (PWD) departments deliver software and hardware products that provide our customers with the means to optimize and control their manufacturing processes. Our software brings huge benefits to our customers and the use of our products is increasing fast. A team of over 800 software developers works together with application engineers, process experts and support specialists to develop our unique market leading applications. Development is largely done in Java and C# and our applications run in both Linux and Windows environments.

Job mission
The main mission is to guide the scrum teams, ensure timely delivery, facilitate the scrum rituals and helping the team to improve itself without losing the technical complex perspective from your view. As a Scrum Master, you are successful when your team is the best agile team in ASML.

Job description
You will be a leader for the team. Although you have no authority over Scrum team members, you do have authority over the process and play a crucial role in challenging the team to become the best it can be

Your main responsibilities will be:
- Leads, builds and facilitates the team to become high performing
- Helps the people around the team to understand which interaction with the team is helpful or not
- Creates focus in the team on the teams iteration objectives
- Creates transparency and alignment on team speed, quality of deliverables and happiness
- Signals and removes impediments to ensure timely delivery from the scrum team
- Challenges the team to walk the extra mile, come with creative alternatives for business problems
- Ensures the team follows the technical way of working and ensures quality related to own discipline is secured in the team
- Provides analyses of current team rituals, evaluates bottlenecks, risks and dependencies whilst offering advice with regards to improvements in team rituals
- Ensures dependencies and risks are managed by the team
- Ensures the pre-conditions are in place to start a work item (Definition of Ready)

Education and experience

University degree in a relevant field of study.

Experience
- 5+ years of experience in DevOps and or CI/CD development
- At least 5 years experience in the project management domain;
- At least 3 years experience acting in similar positions in an agile setting;

Skills

- Excellent People and change leadership skills
- A leader that has a high people focus and understands where the team needs to go to from a business point of view
- Facilitator by setting the stage and providing clear boundaries in which the team can collaborate.
- Coach and Mentor: coaching the team with a focus on mindset and behavior, transfers Agile knowledge and experience to the team
- Strong networker to manage impediments, eliminate waste, managing the process, managing the team's health, managing the boundaries of self-organization, and managing the culture.
- Teacher to ensure Scrum and other relevant Agile methods are understood and enacted.
- A Change Agent to enable a culture in which Scrum Teams can flourish and reach a high performing state.

Consisting of both IT engineers and development engineers, the team combines the knowledge of our internal IT infrastructure, development tools and modern development practices. Together, OASIS consists of over > 40 DevOps engineers. The OASIS team has a high impact on the effectiveness and productivity of the 400+ developers. Its goal is to continuously optimize the software development, releasing and deployment cycle. Activities range widely; development tooling configuration, setting up/enhancing CI/CD pipelines, maintenance, support and application life cycle management.
