Introduction to the job
After a system (EUV or DUV machine) is shipped to a customer abroad, the real ‘magic’ begins. Thousands of our engineers worldwide are dedicated to a simple goal: making sure that the lithography systems at our customers’ sites are running smoothly, 24/7. That makes Customer Support (CS) vital to our success. Unlike many customer service departments at other companies, having a technical background is a necessity at ASML Customer Support, because our technology is often so advanced that our employees may be the only ones who understand it and know how to use it.
Within the Customer Support department, the project leader is responsible to initiate, plan and execute the projects as defined in our roadmaps. As a project leader you contribute to this by leading projects to standardize and improve products and processes in line with value stream priorities. We do this by setting up and maintaining a strong network towards our stakeholders and partners via effective communication by being transparent about the work wedo. We standardize or improve by utilizing LEAN, PMM and PGP practices.
Role and responsibilities
Depending on your specialization and years of experience, we distinguish several Project Management roles within the Customer Support department:
Improvement/Change Project Lead
As the Operational Improvement Leader you are challenged to continuously improve our complex collaborative processes and organization, all the way from improvement identification to implementation into the line organization.
Project Lead for PMO
As part of the Project Management office, you are a process enthusiast with project management experience. Driving process improvements into the standing organization is your specialty. You are a real change agent, who is interested to learn more about program management and the PMO role.
Customer Support Project Lead
As CS Project Lead, you will use your proven Project Management and Change Management skills to execute CS wide Business Improvement projects. This is often done by using Agile/Safe frameworks. Your project starts from a roadmap driven concept phase to the embedding of the improvement in the standard CS daily operation.

Education and experience
- Bachelor or Master degree in business administration, engineering or comparable education;
- 5 + years of experience within a Project Management role;
- Experience within a manufacturing, industrial or service organization;
- Fluent in English (spoken and written);
- Skilled with Stakeholder Management;
- A hands-on mentality;
- Proven record of successfully leading and embedding change initiatives.
Experience with LEAN/Agile methodologies or having a PMP certification is a plus.
