Introduction to the job

At ASML, the yield of various equipment is crucial for our customers. Any nanometer-scaled particle, no matter the source, can have negative impact on the end-product. As defectivity engineer in R&D, you will be actively involved in the integration and qualification of the latest e-beam equipment.

Role and responsibilities

As defectivity-engineer you will be responsible for the investigation of various rootcauses of particles within the e-beam inspection equipment and actively push for an improved hardware design. These investigation will take place on offline setups and existing e-beam tools.Offline analysis via software (matlab) is required to make information out of the data, that can be used to propose new solutions.

Education and experience

Academic background, Master or PhD in physics, electrical engineering or chemistry.
Knowledge of electron-microscopy, material-science and/or electrostatics is strongly preferred, as well as hands-on (experimental) experience with high vacuum systems.
Experience with nano-particles and material failure mechanisms is desired. Knowledge of semiconductor industry, ASML-scanner, defect metrology equipment, statistics and/or design of experiments is preferred. Work experience in other technical companies is a plus.
