Role and responsibilities
As an experienced HR project manager, you will play a pivotal role in our HR innovation journey by driving the design and deployment of our Talent and Workforce Strategies projects towards success. Focus projects will be our Global Job Architecture project which is in full execution and will be transitioned to sustain in 2022 and the Competencies & Skills Strategy project which has recently been initiated. Both projects are critical and fundamental cornerstones unlocking people and organizational development.
You’ll be closely working together with the business, the Workday implementation team, the Learning Program team and HR representatives across all ASML’s sectors and countries. You will manage the successful embedding of the new Job Architecture and will support the design of our Global Competencies & Skills Strategy by managing scope, time, resources and interdependencies. Competencies & Skills Strategy project:
At ASML, we believe we can only grow as fast as our employees growth. This means we are putting everything in place to accelerate the development of our employees in a focused and intuitive manner. As Competencies and Skills management is quickly evolving (data science, machine learning, etc.), we are about to define our Competencies and Skills Strategy in close alignment with the business.
In this position, you’ll get the opportunity to be part of this high impact and global project by managing the initiation and deployment of this global and high impact project.
Job Architecture project:
We have built a solid new Job Architecture in close collaboration with business and their respective HR Business Partners. This new Job Architecture will be activated along with the go-live of Workday in January.
Our new Job Architecture includes approximately 1200 Job Profiles clustered within a structure of Job Family Groups and Job Families. For all those Job Profiles we have started building unique profile descriptions per job grade and we expect it to take up to 12-18 months for our business to describe and validate all Job profiles. A guidebook has been created to support business and HR BP’s in this effort. You will drive and coordinate the Job Profile creation process and ensure consistency with guidelines, our Competencies and Skills approach and validation by the Job Evaluation team. You will work closely together with the Workday implementation team to update the system when new Job Families are ready to be uploaded.
In order to keep the Job Architecture future-proof, we have established a Job Architecture Change Control governance to support motivated change requests. Supporting this process towards sustain is also part of your responsibilities.
Education and experience
Master Degree in Human Resource, Business or Finance field of study.
For this challenging job we are looking for an experienced HR or Project Management professional with clear HR innovation experience or affinity.
- 8+ years of experience in HR or (HR) project management role
- Qualified or experienced in Project Management Methodologies (e.g. PMI) otherwise obtaining this competence will be part of your Personal Development Plan
- Experience with Workday and/or Competencies & Skills management is highly valuable

- Ability to effectively prioritize and execute work of self and project team members in a pressurized environment and work proactively to ensure project milestones are met.
- Flexibility to adopt to shifting priorities, demands and timelines.
- Strong communication skills in English Language (written and spoken).
