Role and responsibilities

Our team works to enable ASML to be in control of the machine configurations by ensuring they know what’s in their systems at any point in time. That means we work with all operational sectors and the R&D department to improve their business processes to ensure consistent and complete registration of all parts and software used in our systems. In this role, you will contribute by improving equipment data integrity, resulting in better documented machine configurations. These documented machine configurations will help our operational sectors in fulfilling the needs of our customers.

As a Subject Matter Expert Configuration Status Accounting, you will make a difference by supporting several initiatives that focus on improved equipment data integrity.

You will participate in cleansing initiatives that focus on improving the configuration of existing machines. These initiatives serve multiple purposes: improve the reliability of configuration registration in our current processes and pave the way for future states of our Enterprise Resource System (SAP) that will facilitate more reliable and efficient Configuration Management. We will need your expertise and experience with SAP transactions and related operational processes to identify potential pollution within our records and help us cleanse legacy data and amend business processes that caused the pollution.

In your daily activities, you will interact with several business sectors. You will be working with SAP functional and technical consultants analyzing data migration requirements and the make-up of legacy data, you will also support the design of appropriate data migration solutions, including where required transformation routines. On top of that you will work with our business and IT architects to create and validate data cleanse scenarios in context of business and IT requirements and priorities.

Education and experience

  • Bachelor's or Master' degree s in industrial / logistics / engineering or technical business administration
  • Proficient with SAP and able to understand consequences of alterations of SAP data on logistical and other operational processes.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Applications (Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Analysis for Office, etc).


  • experience with building, testing, executing and managing data migrations utilizing tools such as SAP LSMW or SAP Data Services solutions
  • knowledge of Configuration Management theory, preferably CMII certified
  • knowledge of or desire to learn Spotfire reporting tool

The Configuration Status Accounting team manages global configuration information, enabling ASML to achieve excellent delivery performance at minimum cost. It creates and controls machine configurations and related master data for ASML's Development & Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Manufacturing and Customer Services departments.
