This position is for an Engineering(Facilities) Space Manager to lead our Administrative Assistants Team, support long term planning for office and lab space, develop data supporting planning, and support the creating and roll-out of our various office and lab space policies and protocols, including but not limited to 5S and safety. This position will report to the Group Lead of the Hardware and Test Center.

This position requires access to controlled technology, as defined in the Export Administration Regulations (15 C.F.R. § 730, et seq.). Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to access such controlled technology prior to beginning work. Business demands may require ASML to proceed with candidates who are immediately eligible to access controlled technology.

Role and responsibilities

Primary responsibility will be to lead the Office and Lab Space Administration Team, while aligning with stakeholders across the development organization (D&E) on the various needs within each space, planning for long term capacity and financial needs, and maintaining the office and lab space policies and protocols. Another key responsibility is supporting the growth and development of the Office and Lab Space Administration Team, while executing their performance reviews and evaluations.

Key Activities:

  • Develop long term roadmaps for the Office and Lab Space Administration Team.
  • Develop long term plans for D&E office and lab space needs and utilization.
  • Support Lab Space calibration, 5S, and Safety actions including the ASML Green Label Safety Program.
  • Execute all performance reviews and evaluations of the Office and Lab Space Administration Team.
  • Support creation and execution of the professional growth plans for the Office and Lab Space Administration Team.
  • Manage the support for and alignment between Lab Area, Test Setup (end) users & ASML Facility Management.
  • Maintaining correct status information in Sharepoint (or other similar communication tools).
  • This position is located on-site in Wilton, CT.It requires onsite presence to attend in-person work-related events, inspections, supervision, trainings and meetings and to further ensure teamwork, collaboration and innovation.

Essential Job Functions

The essential job functions for this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Work in a fast-paced office environment, including working in a standing or seated position for long periods of up to 12 hours per day, 5 days per week.
  • Commute to ASML’s facility and report to work on a regular and timely basis and complete the scheduled workday on a consistent basis.
  • Routinely required to sit; walk; talk; hear; use hands to finger, handle, and feel; stoop, kneel, crouch, twist, reach, and stretch. Occasionally required to move around the campus.
  • Perform office tasks using simple hand grasping, fine hand manipulation and reach associated with assigned tasks such as paperwork, computer keyboarding (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint), filing, calculating, and use of telephone or other handheld electronic devices, continuously sometimes exceeding 8 hours per day, five days per week.
  • Have a sufficient ability to communicate, through sight, hearing, and/or otherwise, to perform assigned tasks and maintain proper job safety conditions.
  • Occasionally lift and/or move up to 16kgs.

  • Will be required to wear PPE and embrace ASML’s safety culture.
  • Will be required to stand, kneel, bend, and lift objects up to 16 kilograms.
  • Regularly exposed to moving mechanisms, sharp objects, and hazardous energy.
  • Regularly exposed to moderate noise levels in lab.

Education and experience

  • A degree in general area or space management is required, or equivalent experience:
  • Associates/Bachelors with minimum of 5 years’ experience.
  • Masters with minimum 4 years’ experience.
  • PhD with minimum 2 years’ experience.

Minimum qualifications – the hired candidate must possess all of the minimum qualifications to be initially considered for the position including:

  • At least 5years’ experience in a relevant administrative or facilities work environment.
  • Experience leading, supporting, and developing the competency of a team of 5 or greater.
  • Strong proficiency with MS Word, Excel, and Powerpoint is required.
  • Experience with MS Project, MS Sharepoint, and/or MS 365 Apps is preferred.
