Introduction to the job

Do you want to play a crucial role in getting improvements in place for our installed base? Do you want to be at the heart of the operation in between development, logistics, and the field? Are you able to work in a complex working environment with many stakeholders? If so, you might very well be the right person we are looking for!

Role and responsibilities

Job Mission
The sector Customer Support (CS) is responsible for the maintenance of ASML systems on customer locations and supporting the customer in the use of these systems in his production process. Since ASML is very time to market oriented there is a need for system maturation when these systems are already put in production at the customer. System maturation is achieved through design changes that are executed at the Development department. Some crucial design changes can be rolled out towards the ASML machines at customers as so-called FCO’s (Field Change Orders) via a controlled process. Within CS the coordination of implementing these FCO’s in the field is done by the Solution Rollout Coordination (SRC) team by working in close interaction with Development (D&E), Logistics (CSCM), and the local field organization (CS). The underlying process is essential for maturing our products at the customer.
The worldwide Solution Rollout coordinator deals with the coordination of these changes for our DUV machines
The intent of the job is to coordinate the beta testing and roll-out of the solutions to the field. The Solution Rollout Coordinator has to assure that the field organization gets all information for implementing the hardware together with the business case information that is needed for selling the story to the customer.

Job Description
The worldwide Solution Rollout coordinator has the following main responsibilities:

- Ensure that all information needed for FCO (Field Change Order) implementation is delivered by D&E (sign-off of Engineering Changes with impact to the field);
- Aligning with logistics on machine assignment and material availability (FCO);
- Releasing FCO’s field rollout;
- Monitoring the worldwide implementation and escalate whenever necessary;
- Managing the FCO expiration and making old FCO’s obsolete;
- Guarding and optimizing the rollout processes;
- Implementing new policies / agreements;
- Continuous improvement of the (internal and cross sectoral) way of working, processes, and reporting;;
- Participating in critical stages of the FCO creation pipeline including the creation and approval of business cases
- Ownership for the cleanup, enrichment, and help requests, related to FCO backlog;
- Spotting and preventing E&O (Excess and Obsolescence).

The WW Solution Rollout coordinator has to be aware of the impact of choices made with respect to the rollout process like the implementation strategy and financial impact with the underlying implementation and possibilities in SAP. Since the existing policies and system support are not supporting the ASML business to its full extend it is expected that these need to be changed. The WW Solution Rollout coordinator will play a crucial role in defining better policies and defining requirements for the supporting systems in order to get these policies supported. With changing policies and increased flexibility it is likely that the scope of the job will increase to other solutions that need to be rolled out to the field like for instanceCustomer Specific Requests (CSR’s) and “partless” FCO’s.
