The mission of the Global ASML Finance - Business Insights and Control (BI&C) team is to enable high quality business decisions that enable business value (and execution) by providing trusted insights and visibility to key decision drivers and financials via collaboration and through challenging the business.The Finance Business Controller -BI&C position will support key financial aspects of strategic ASML commercial and operational teams such as the Global Intel Account Team and US Customer Service operations. The US BI&C Customer value team is part of a global team, including teams in Asia and Europe. You will report to the US team lead BI&C Customer Value.

Role and responsibilities

  • Provide critical support to Finance VDT (Value Driving Team) colleagues, the Global Intel Business Account, and US CS (Customer Service) management, with a focus on key areas including Lithography System sales, Field Upgrades and installed base activities
  • Contribute to commercial proposals and customer agreements via integral financial insights, deal calculations, and presentation materials to optimize business opportunities and achieve account team and corporate financial targets
  • Uphold the Deal Structuring Team (DST) and provide transactional authorizations ensuring adherence to corporate approvals and business policies
  • Participate in advanced analytic tooling projects (combining business competence with highly automated data-driven technical tooling improvements) and other leading business insight improvement related initiatives
  • Work with Finance VDT, the Global Intel Account Team, and the US CS Management Team to carry out financial planning processes, ensure accuracy, and alignment of financial forecasts (MOR, TAP, LE)
  • Facilitate the Global Intel Account Team and US CS Team to execute the financial planning and achieve key financial objectives and corporate priorities in areas including revenue, margin, cash flow, and managing quarter end risks and opportunities
  • Collaborate with the VDT Finance team to continually develop, improve and generate reporting that provides compelling business insights aimed at driving actions to improve current and future business performance
  • Act as a liaison to drive stakeholder alignment (Sales, CS, VDT, Corp. Accounting, Order Management Desk,Business Lines, Legal, Tax, etc.) to continually improve processes, decision support and instill accountability in financially executing sales agreements
  • May travel approx. 5%-10% domestic or international and will participate in occasional outside-of-business-hour collaboration calls with Global BI&C Customer Value or other relevant global teams
  • This senior finance role provides multiple opportunities for future career steps, both in the US as well as potential global roles.

Education and experience

  • B.S. degree in finance, accounting, business or economics. Graduate degree a plus (MBA, finance or business degree)
  • 7+ years relevant work, related experience
  • Business partner roles with emphasis on supporting: commercialteams (including complex deal structuring), customer service operations, contract review and execution, short and long term financial planning and reporting (revenue, margin, cash, etc.), and large financial transaction authorizations and review
  • Participation/leadership within advanced analytic tooling projects or in other compelling automation and or process improvement projects is a significant plus
  • Strong customer focus and commitment to internal/external customer satisfaction through prioritization, quality, efficiency and professionalism
  • Excellent financial and business management skills
  • Good understanding of accounting and tax principles, achieving key financial objectives and corporate priorities, including revenue, margin and cash flow targets, and managing quarter end risks and opportunities
  • Work experience in a collaborative global/international finance and or business teams
  • Experience handling multiple priorities, and juggling several proposals simultaneously
  • Proficient use of Microsoft Office suite programs and other required software applications
  • Semiconductor industry or high tech experience is preferred
