ASML US, including its affiliates and subsidiaries, bring together the most creative minds in science and technology to develop lithography machines that are key to producing faster, cheaper, more energy-efficient microchips. We design, develop, integrate, market and service these advanced machines, which enable our customers - the world’s leading chipmakers - to reduce the size and increase the functionality of their microchips, which in turn leads to smaller, more powerful consumer electronics. Our headquarters are in Veldhoven, Netherlands, and we have 18 office locations around the United States including main offices in Chandler, Arizona, San Jose and San Diego, California, Wilton, Connecticut, and Hillsboro, Oregon.

As a product engineer, you will initiate new products, design new features in existing products, and introduce the products to customers and support customer applications.

Role and responsibilities

·This position is specifically for scanner alignment and overlay metrology simulation and target design:

·Interact with customers to gain understanding of their technical requirements and effectively translate these requirements into new product capabilities.

·Conduct new product feasibility studies.

·Perform acceptance tests and documentation of the new products.

·Technical support to ASML Brion’s on-site customer support team and be responsible for new product introductions (~ 10-15% travel required )

·Collect proof book data by working with customers, and determine best practices for the products.

Education and experience

·Master’s degree with at least 5 years of relevant work experience or Ph.D. with at least 2 years of relevant work experience is required.

·Knowledge of Optical physics (especially Fourier optics, EM theory)

·Knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing mask, optical, resist and etch processes

·Experience with lithography, simulation tools required.

·Experience with scanners and metrology tools, or IC manufacturing process is a plus.

·Basic programming skills– e.g. MATLAB or Python
