The Site Reliability Engineer will be responsible for the health, security and smooth running of all Silicon Valley DevOps servers, tools and applications.This is a greenfield position that will take the lead in SRE process and policies with heavy input on tools, security mechanisms, monitoring, and triage processing.


This position may require access to controlled technology, as defined in the Export Administration Regulations (15 C.F.R. § 730, et seq.). Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to access such controlled technology prior to beginning work. Business demands may require the Company to proceed with candidates who are immediately eligible to access controlled technology.

Role and responsibilities

  • Participate in a newly created responsibility charged with monitoring tools and process to determine the health of the DevOps tools and various workflows of on-prem and cloud based servers and services.
  • Ensure that our servers are secure and a process is put into place to update any security patches on running servers and applications.
  • Implement and execute triage workflow for any issues that need attention in CI/CD, infrastructure, operations, etc.
  • Improve existing monitoring and alerting of SRE tools.Discover and implement new monitoring and existing SRE tools.
  • Lead the effort to upgrade servers and applications on a quarterly basis to close know security vulnerabilities and loopholes.
  • Be a champion and mentor for an “Agile” way of working. Display a willingness/ability to participate in a SCRUM team to continuously deliver improvements in all areas of development operations.

Education and experience

Minimum qualifications – the hired candidate must possess all of the minimum qualifications to be initially considered for the position including:

  • Bachelor’s degree with 3-7 years of relevant work experience.
  • Python, Go or equivalent scripting experience in a DevOps environment
  • Knowledge/hands-on experience with Prometheus, Graphana or equivalent
  • Knowledge of usage, provisioning and monitoring of public cloud, especially Azure desired
  • Experience and knowledge of Atlassian tools such as Bitbucket, Bamboo, Jira and Confluence is a plus.
  • Understanding of various SDLC workflows and how DevOps and SRE supports and enhances a developers experience and productivity
  • Strong English communication skills – both written and oral, ability to communicate ideas and concepts for influence and knowledge sharing
