Role and responsibilities

As a Sr. Software Architect, you will serve as a software technical leader for best-in-class wafer inspection tools.If you love designing great software and are collaborative team player who enjoys technology, join our team! You will partner with other team members to build robust software in support of ASML’s world leading e-Beam product line. In this role you will:

  • Identify requirements communicating with product managers and other stakeholders.
  • Work with system/hardware/application engineers and developers to envision and create the high level software architecture and functional models for new generation of E-beam inspection machine.
  • Break down software building blocks to modules and development tasks for the team.
  • Review software design and code to ensure clarity and quality. This usually requires hands-on developing prototypes, contributing code or evaluating technologies.
  • Write system level specification and design documents.
  • Define unified development standards and input for tool and environment selection.
  • Plan for software evolutionary paths and new technology insertion.
  • Identify risk and manage risk mitigation strategies associated with the architecture.
  • Strong knowledge of software development process and software life cycle.
  • Experience in large scale software design and architecture.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Education and experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Applied Mathematics or related fields.Higher degree desired.
  • Minimum 8 years of relevant work experience.
  • Expert in OOD, design patterns and Windows software development using C#.
  • Ability to understand and analyze C++ code.
  • In depth experience in .Net Remoting / WCF, WPF, multi-threaded programming and communication protocols.
  • Semiconductor equipment control experience is nice to have
  • Proficient in design break down of large scale software system to smaller building blocks and development tasks.
  • Ability to define software roadmap and new technology insertion.
  • Deep experience with Git, Agile methodology and software development life cycle .
  • Familiarity with commonly used libraries/interfaces, such as Prism, Autofac, gRPC
  • Excellent skills in problem solving and critical thinking.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively as part of a team.
