Introduction

Local product regulations are becoming more complex and more tightly enforced. SEMI S2 is no longer viewed as the directive for compliance in our markets resulting in regulatory bodies and customers requesting detailed evidence for our products and procedures. New local product regulatory requirements are not structurally identified, assessed, mitigated and incorporated in our compliance framework. This leads to regulatory non-conformance, crash actions, redesigns, localized solutions and recertification efforts.

Job mission

To install proactively dedicated regulatory capacity in Japan.

-Early understanding of and anticipation on regulatory trends in Japan.
-Influence legislation in interest of ASML
-A clear and timely deployment of regulation to engineers, reducing last minute redesigns
-Pave the local certification process

Job Description

·Learning and understanding new and upcoming regulations, standards and regulatory trends

  • Support central regulatory and compliance team with translation and interpretation of legislation, regulations and standards into technical requirements.
  • Representing ASML on technical matters in taskforces, workgroups in associations and standardization committees.
  • Maintain an extensive networkto ensure that ASML is optimally placed in its understanding of regulatory and compliance environments.

·Maintain a network to support the approbation of ASML products in their country

·Arrange the approbation and certification of ASML products in their country, eg arrange local inspections

We are looking for

An experienced regulatory expert with:

·A technical master’s degree in e.g. Physics, Electronics engineering

·At least 10 years of experience in dealing with Standardization and conformity assessment in

·Translate technical challenges into regulatory aspects

·A passion to match the targets in these fields realistically with business constraints;

·A proactive, entrepreneurial, business-oriented working attitude and a proven understanding of the value of shaping regulations and standards towards business needs

·Excellent relationship building, influencing and negotiating abilities

·The confidence and communications skills to operate at all levels both internally and externally

·Self-propelling, goal and business oriented

·Affinity with the regulatory aspects of the job

·Willingness to travel internationally on regular basis

·Fluency in English and local language(s)

·Job dedication for multiple years
